But it takes two to tango. It is true that after the dance it is the woman who does the hard work, and quite rightfully it is the Mother who is the first Goddess. But it still takes two to tango.
Very nice sentiments, and the truthfulness of your heart is most worthy. I just hope you are heartened by knowing that many western people undergo such traumas, though they should not occur. You are not alone, and your story will help other people with their own stories which are not completed yet as yours is.
