Against the backdrop of a worsening international economic environment, #China needs to find solutions as soon as possible in case more Western countries unite against it on some major economic issues. The country should pay attention to deepening bilateral relations with important economic and trade partners by building a more comprehensive and high-standard free trade network. And the #UK could be one of the developed countries with which China could strengthen economic cooperation in a new round of changes to the international economic order.

As the fifth-largest global economy, and the second-largest economy in the EU, the UK is an important window for China to deepen cooperation with the Western world. Beijing can consider a China-UK #freetradearea (FTA) as a model for deals with other #developedcountries. For the UK, the inking a China-UK FTA would help reduce #postBrexit uncertainties by offsetting some of the negative impacts. For China, an #FTA with the UK will allow it to explore development space under the pressure of the US-China trade war, facilitating domestic industrial upgrading and propelling domestic reforms in environmental protection, IPR protection and other aspects. Therefore, a China-UK FTA will be of great practical significance.

#Japan, more than many other #developedcountries, needs everything to go right for its economy to grow. Its population and work force are shrinking. Once-big industries like consumer electronics are retrenching under pressure from lower-cost rivals. Prime Minister #ShinzoAbe won power 3 years ago on a promise to accelerate Japan’s economic metabolism, but despite some notable successes - joblessness is low and many large companies are earning record profits - a broad increase in growth and incomes remains elusive.

With the #economy on the edge, even small setbacks can have major repercussions. In the latest quarter, companies wary about the outlook cut back on their investments in factories and equipment, tipping the economy into its fifth recession in seven years. Exports to China dropped sharply, worsening the falloff in activity and contributing to the general unease.

The host of this year’s #G7 Summit, #Japan is facing contraction while nothing the government has been trying has been able to bring about a turnaround. That has taken the country, with an aging population and no economic growth amid decades of deflation, from an object of envy to a country practically deserving of pity among its peers in the #G7 industrialized nations. The homogeneous island society is averse to mass immigration - a solution other countries have used to compensate for a declining population.

Japan’s public pension plans are heavily underfunded, giving middle-class families, whose assets would be the envy of many in other #developedcountries, great pause about any frivolous spending. Young people, struggling in their first jobs, as well as retirees with relatively ample savings, also remain reluctant to open their wallets.

Action taken by the Bank of #England following the #Brexit vote, including cutting interest rates and freeing up more cash for banks to lend had helped to 'maintain confidence' in the economy, according to the IMF in its latest World Economic Outlook. The Fund expects the #UKeconomy to grow by 1.8% in 2016. This is slightly higher than its forecast of 1.7% in July, and puts the country on course to be the fastest growing #G7 economy this year.

The IMF warned that growth in the medium term would also be lower 'as greater impediments to trade, migration, and capital flows are expected to erode growth potential'. It said Brexit would widen the black hole in #Britain's public finances and predicted that the Government would not balance the books until at least 2022.

Thanks +Singularity Utopia for sharing this topic!

#Education systems are collapsing because they were established to cover certain agendas here and there, and it's clearly observed now in the Middle East (i.e.Tahrir Square, Tunisia,,,etc), in the US and Europe #OWS and soon in the far east.

Education had been politicized since the Industrial Revolution to meet the production lines for corporates in the different industries. Though, under the different names as #developedcountries, #firstworld countries, #secondworld countries and the new name #G8 decided what kind of industries should be established in their own countries and which ones in the #developingcountries, in addition to whcih industries developing countries are prohibited to establish as they will creat a global threat if they grow and compete with the developed ones.

The idea behind G8 agenda was/is to control and distribute the world's wealth pie depending on their shares in that pie, and of course less privileged countries don't have any of that or in a very small percentage.

Therefore, education systems worked well to meet such needs and requirements of the local markets and industries and did not put into consideration that people are moving creatures (forgive me for the word and we all are #humans respectfully) and take their expertise from one place to another and the more the imigrated population grows the needs and demands in their community change.

What's in the video is good stuff, but in my opinion, it's excellent in a factory on the diferent production lines but not to teach our kids at school or become a nany for them.

What we need is a new free #non-politicized education that can build responsible citizens of humanity and not for certain regimes. Simply teaching kids ABCs of reading, writing, math, technology, cultures and ethics are the essentials for creating the new generation. The methodologies we follow to teach the kids will help and support establishing the sets of skills needed to build their own future in this global context.

We as humans are no longer separated by the physical borders between our countries, we are simply humans and want to share this life together looking for a better life than we are living now.
Thanks to +Koen De Paus for bringing this to my attention.

It is now easier for people to see how #robots and #AI will soon undergo an evolutionary explosion of #intelligence, thereby allowing us the make very rapid progress.
