Green on green

Green Iguana (Iguana iguana)

Pantanal, Brazil

When the green iguana is in its right element – the foliage of trees or in lush green vegetation – it is extremely hard to see and only patience and a trained eye will know where to look.

This one is on a branch overhanging the water and only its very careful movements revealed it as the branches were moving ever so slightly in the still air.
