Col. Divakaran Pillay was given the task of protecting the tribal village in Tamenglong district of Manipur. These tribal regions were considered the areas under red alert.

As soon as Pillay got to know that the militants were hiding in the locked room, the only way he could think of to catch them was to bang open the door. But as soon as he did this he was welcomed by four bullets. The bullets hit his shoulder, chest and two more on his body. Thereafter the militants also threw a grenade which blowed off a part of the soldier's leg.

He was quick to notice two terrified kids in a corner. When the chopper arrived for evacuation, he asked them to rescue the kids and take them to the hospital first. With 1 grenade and 4 bullets he managed to live for 2 hours before being taken to the hospital.
Later he was given the title of Pillay Pamei. Pamei is regarded as one of the most honourable titles of the tribe.Earning that title is a symbol of great respect.

Twitter bought Vine, which had yet to launch, in late 2012. It launched in January 2013, and its looping 6-second clips gradually became a popular format for sports highlights, visual effects, and comedy. And yet Vine never became the destination that Twitter had hoped for. Its co-founders gradually quit, and Twitter was slow to invest in the property. The launch of video on Instagram in 2013 blunted its growth, and as with the rest of Twitter, its product added features at a glacial pace.

The end of Vine comes as Twitter tries to overhaul its core product, which has been slow to add users or grow revenue. The company said today that it would lay off 9 percent of its workforce, or about 350 people, as it attempts to find a sustainable path forward. A recent effort to sell the company failed when no one would meet Twitter’s asking price.
