On this day, we, laid down between the surf and the roped-off area for the nesting birds. It was a great experience, as the birds really have no idea what the ropes are for, and would come within a few feet of us, if we were still.

The parents would keep a close eye on us, to be sure we were not a threat, but got used to our presence pretty quickly.

This is an adult, watching its young to make sure we are not going to be a problem. The large black thing on the left side background is a camera (for those who aren't into photography) with my friend +Ray Hennessy at the controls.
