Horizon plane was not shot down says Washington Governor Jay Inslee: “The responding fighter pilots flew alongside the aircraft and were ready to do whatever was needed to protect us, but in the end the man flying the stolen plane crashed.”

Update
The plane incident in Seattle with the Alaska Air Horizon aircraft appears to have been done by a suicidal man. His transmissions with ATC are heartbreaking.
For this reason I am not reporting his words or posting his transmissions.

Alaska Air posted the involved aircraft as N449QX. The registration was then removed in the next update.
