| Where can I take a German proficiency test? | |
| Once you start learning German, you may want or need to take a proficiency test. If you plan on studying at a German university, you need to find out which test is required or recommended. Before being admitted to higher education in Germany you will generally be required to take a German language proficiency test - "Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang" (DSH) or "Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache" (TestDaF). Of course, if you enroll in an International Degree Program, you will most likely be exempt from taking these tests.
