The Consumer Opt Out Page (Beta) is intended for recent versions of the most widely-used desktop Web browsers, including Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Internet Explorer 6 is not supported. If you use Internet Explorer 6 you may experience problems with the display and functionality of the Consumer Opt Out Page. We recommend that you upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or later, or another supported browser.
Safari is set by default to block third party cookies, which must be enabled for the Consumer Opt Out Page.
Tablets and mobile devices are not supported. iPad users will find there is no scroll bar visible for the list of participating companies, but can review the list using two-finger scrolling (swipe two fingers up or down the list of companies in order to scroll).
Accessibility Features
This site supports operation of core features via the keyboard and employs techniques such as header navigation that are known to make navigation of web pages more efficient using screen readers and screen magnifiers.
To select tabs in the opt-out tool: The tabs appear as a list of links. Press the "enter" key on the desired link. Screen readers will begin announcing the refreshed content when it is available. You may experience a brief pause after you activate the link while the web page is updated with the new content.
To use a screen reader user view information about a specific company: Press "Enter" on the "toggle company information for [company name."] Arrow down to read the information. Return to the toggle link above the content to clear the information.
