Created by Niantic in partnership with Nintendo and the Pokemon Company, Pokémon GO is a mobile only augmented reality game available for iOS and Android devices.
First released on 6 July 2016, it has taken the world by storm.
Modeled after the game play of the original Pokémon card games and animation series, players use their smartphones to locate, capture, train and evolve virtual “monsters” called Pokémons.
