Flash Thompson Casting in Spiderman Homecoming

If you have not heard yet Tony Revolori has been confirmed as the casting choice for Eugene (Flash) Thompson in Marvel's Spiderman Homecoming. Personally I do not know much about Revolori's background. He was one of the co-stars in the movie Dope (really cool film that you should check out if you have not) in which he plays a 90s geek. I am going to let that sink in he played a geek. As I said I don't know much about his other roles what I do know is the role I saw him in which he performed well and the general look of the character. That being said in this day and age looks are only a portion of it. If you can find someone who nails a character to a tee even if they don't fit the character physically by all means go for it but I don't see this casting in any format. I did hear a theory by someone who though perhaps this version of Flash would be portrayed more as a cyber bully to relate to kids today. If that is the case I am still personally not feeling it. I actually think Mason Dye would have been a decent casting choice. He is around the age frame has the look and the work he has done has not been to bad (I think). Dye played one of the orphan assassins in Teen Wolf and was in Flowers in the attic. Not a huge rap sheet on his end either but it seems these movies are a way to help newer talent grow. That being said I just don't see Marvel's vision here...but I suppose I will when I see the movie. But what are your thoughts between the two. Marvel's choice and mine who would you have picked and who is your own choice for casting (keeping it in frame with age targeted actors)...side note the actor they got for Ned Leeds looks like he would have been a better fit for Ganke Lee
