Supported currencies and currency fees

Airbnb offers a number of payment options in various currencies, allowing you to select your default currency and change it at any time. 

Note: Some currencies may not be available for all payment methods. Some currencies may also come with additional fees.

Prices will show in the currency you’ve selected

Airbnb displays prices in the currency you selected. If you change the currency at any point while booking, the price will automatically update in the new currency.

Selected currency may not be supported by your payment method

Even though guests can choose their payment currency, they must select a compatible payment method. If the chosen payment method doesn’t support the selected currency, the guest will need to change either the payment method or the currency.

Service fee may change when paying in a currency that’s different than the listing currency

If a guest pays in a different currency than the host’s listing currency, an additional fee is charged. Find out more about how the service fee may change for cross-currency bookings.

Third-party fees may apply

If you choose to use a currency that doesn’t match your default payment method, your bank or credit card company may apply currency conversion fees to your payment. Airbnb isn’t responsible for these fees, so please contact your bank or credit card company to learn more.

Cross-border fees may apply

If your bank or credit card company classifies Airbnb's processing entity as international, it may charge cross-border fees—even if the charge was processed in the standard currency of your payment method.

Airbnb doesn’t manage and can’t refund these fees, so please contact your bank or credit card company for more information.
