1) If you don't know, ask. 2) The nurses will support you - be good to your professional colleagues! 3) every shift does eventually end

Remember good communication skills are of high importance to patients. Keep calm, you're doing great.

Personally... I believe nurses are scientists. They need to be proficient in anatomy, physiology, psychology, sociology, chemistry etc.

As a nurse working in medical education, I find it rewarding to blur the boundaries between uni-professional and interprofessional teaching

Listen to the patient esp if we have conditions you're not familiar with. We prefer questions rather than guesswork #RareDisease

I have Basic Life Support training at lunch time. Mandatory training updates whilst its quiet with school holidays. Not much teaching today
