    I believe a nurse should be as highly educated as they can, and should be encouraged to push themselves. Nursing is a science.

    And here we go... Chest compression and breaths. 30 good compressions, 2 per second, 5 cm depth followed by 2 breaths... And repeat!

    Its ABCDE assessment time! ... I wonder if the mannequin will deteriorate in at a cardiac arrest..? In a BLS class..? I think it will!

    1) If you don't know, ask. 2) The nurses will support you - be good to your professional colleagues! 3) every shift does eventually end

    Remember good communication skills are of high importance to patients. Keep calm, you're doing great. 👍

    Personally... I believe nurses are scientists. They need to be proficient in anatomy, physiology, psychology, sociology, chemistry etc.

    Great advice for our new doctors! I will nip out to the wards this afternoon and see a few of them. Check they are OK 👍

    There is always a debate about nurse training and the level we should be trained at. What do you think? Are nurses scientists or vocational?

    As a nurse working in medical education, I find it rewarding to blur the boundaries between uni-professional and interprofessional teaching

    Listen to the patient esp if we have conditions you're not familiar with. We prefer questions rather than guesswork😊

    I have Basic Life Support training at lunch time. Mandatory training updates whilst its quiet with school holidays. Not much teaching today
