    I have tabled a motion for tomorrow calling for the House of Lords to return on 2 January not 7th so we can debate & vote on Mrs May’s Brexit deal a week earlier than the government proposes. Totally unacceptable that we should be on holiday until 2nd week of Jan in this crisis

    So let me get this clear: If we give fewer firsts, it's 'falling standards', and if we give *more* firsts, it's 'falling standards' (and if we give the same number, it's 'stagnation') Just stop it. Stop inventing meanings for numbers in order to bash universities. It's pathetic.

    Where was the Tory misogyny outrage when May reinstated the whip to MPs Andrew Griffiths who sent 2,000 sexually explicit messages to two women and Charlie Elphike interviewed by police over allegations of sex offences(which he denies)? I didn't see any
