'Audi R8 V10 plus selection 24h' is an awkward name for a gorgeous car

10

Audi is introducing a special edition of its R8 sports car to celebrate its victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours last year in the racing version of the car, the R8 LMS. It's called the "Audi R8 V10 plus selection 24h." It's a weird name — but there's nothing weird about the beautiful car itself.

It's based on the already great Audi R8 V10 plus, but has a number of additional special bits to make this 24-unit limited edition run a little more special. A ton of the aerodynamic and bodywork bits get carbon fiber; there's a special paint job with R8 24h markings; and, in a feature exclusive to this car, entry lights project the R8 logo on the pavement when you unlock the doors. (Interestingly, the Ford Mustang has a similar feature, projecting a pony logo.) Of course, every selection 24h includes Audi's fantastic laser headlamps.

The car costs $260,000, but don't expect to bring this one to the US. The laser headlights aren't legal in the States.
