Offline navigation doesn't work correctly I suppose they had an offline navigation and my maps don't work without Internet connection and I had an interview today. I never take the freeway so I always edit the routes to avoid highways but it direct me to the highway ramp this time on offline navigation. I didn't go though. I like how the google maps navigator tells me where to go at the right times but I downloaded another map app cause its made for offline navigating.

Do improve offline navigation I really like when some places can be saved, some can't due to.. I don't know why, like japan or korea. I can't really rely so much on the offline navigation but had to creatively solve it with other apps. So far, this app is getting better & better.

It's alright but... This app needs improving. Not sure if it's due to being on ee or not but it doesn't get my GPS signal, it's forever switching it round so I see where I've just been and is either very slow or doesn't work barely at all. If these things are fixed it would be a brilliant app and worthy of 5 stars.

Galaxy Note Edge Samsung has changed the phone system to Marshmallow two days ago. Since then Google Maps is not working anymore, it's continuously searching for GPS signal, the app doesn't stay in landscape mode even though the Screen Rotation is on. I use Google Maps daily and never had problems until now. Please do something...

Darn good Due to stop & hardly go had to get off I 25 north bound and. make my way into e Denver on back routes. Maps performed like a champ at every turn had to make, was able to keep business appointment.

Extremely useful The offline feature of this app works really well, even in 3rd world country like Pakistan. Thank you Google. This is very useful feature that you can even check route even if you don't have internet.

Love it, but there's one thing... Thanks for adding my request to save trips to the calendar app on Apple devices. However, you forgot to do it on the Android app. I noticed it works great on my iPad. Could you please add this capability for Android?

Wth? You guys need to fix some if you directions. Your GPS told me to go somewhere 10 minutes away from where I was supposed to go. That's 10 extra miles on my car and me being 20 minutes late for work.

Gps Tried to use Google maps and it keeps telling me searching for gps.. this has been going on for a year now and I have reported it several times and nothing is done.. hello Google fix this problem please

Searching for gps Disaster keeps searching for GPS when I have any route selected. Just doesn't work. Will only work if I replace with factory app. Needs attention

I have gotten several poor routes lately, including two dirt roads into private hunting lands. Totally unacceptable!

Accuracy Its always off with directions, tells you to turn on roads that aren't there, flip u turns when its not needed and never totally on task where I drive... this app needs to be fixed better.

Closes automatically When i open map. After some time it closes immediately. And error come that unfortunately maps closed.

Bike navigation dead, loses connection with walking If I change route with walking navigation mode, it will stay on "recalculating" mode. Bike navigation is plain and simple dead.

Another Dead Soldier Lollipop ushers in the death of Google apps. The clock became annoying. The dialer, the browser, maps...Google appears to be vying with Microsoft, in removing useful features/functions while adding and pushing weak ones. R.I.P. Google Maps.

Fewer features than a garmin from 2006 ALWAYS avoid tolls, Multiple destinations, speed limits: After all these years still MIA. Stop routing me through $20 toll roads to save 30 seconds!! Why are the messy indoor maps not a disable-able layer? The giant banner covers half the screen just to tell me traffic layer is available ffs. Claims to be offline when not. It's a miracle if navigation manages to work for an hour without not responding. Stop adding junk and please fix these critical flaws.

Necessary App To Have Use it all the time! I have tried other driving apps but not for long. This one does the job right and makes sense to me.

Worst after Android Marshmallow! Takes too much time to searching GPS location, updates are really bad. Kindly rectify this asap as I need this Map direction everyday, as I'm traveller.

Mapa I use for work.. Sometimes excellent, sometimes sends me a jacked up way, doesn't seem to give me cut through streets instead sends me to main roads , kinda annoying, but good thing I know better routes

Google Maps was great until the last update. I can no longer access my history so I don't have to re-enter all the info again. Frustrating. Also, the new "Take the Shortcut" doesn't work. Glad I picked up a GPS today. Somebody really screwed it up.

Lagging Google maps is lagging on my galaxy s6. It waits until I'm passing a turn to tell me to make the turn. Would be helpful if it told me BEFORE the turn so I don't have to keep making u-turns. I've actually had to switch navigation apps altogether due to these problems. Expected more.

Why buy a GPS? Well other than not being able to talk on your phone when using this app but you still have no need to run out and pay $100+ when this app clearly can do the job.

Pit stop and drop down directions bar. LOVE I have been wanting them to add the pit stop feature for a while. This will relieve a lot of frustration. And the way the directions from the top now yep I love the new features. 5 star good job Google.

Reroute issue Doesnt reroute anymore. Cost me $15 on a fare because it didnt reroute me and my customer wasnt satisfied.

I liked maps. But It goes pathetic when you modify it. Latest update is cool and brings many features e.g. unification of local guides. Yet my only voe is incorrect data which is retained even after people had amended it. *Appended review: as you move from maps > help > map maker it becomes terrible even for a advanced user. Really pathetic thereafter.

Basic function: *modify* the Artificial Guess route, *save* the useful route, then use *navigation* mode with that route. Nope. Gigantic effort toward an amazing achievement and then it's applied in a half-donkeyed way. Don't tell me about My Maps. You can't use navigation mode in a saved map even if you open it in Google Maps. Also, why bother saying the route includes tolls and then make their locations secret? Don't tell me about the avoid tolls option. I'm not trying to ruin a sensible route to avoid a toll. I want to be ready for it when I get there. Nope. Secret.

GPS issues with new version Continuously searching for GPS post recent update. Maps can't be used any more, pls fix it.

1- Why did you deprecate/remove the zoon arrows? I can use one finger to accurately zoom with the arrows. Pinch zooming requires 2 fingers over and over, fiddling until it reaches desired zoom. 2- Can no longer save a business/location to Contacts. Not an error, feature is just no longer present. 3- When providing feedback, then returning to the map, it does not remember the zoom level. General comments.. Quit messing up the UI!!!!!! Quit removing useful functionality! If it isnt broke, dont break it!!

Where in indian places/states is Hindi written Dear Google ,  I love your services  but you haven't written name of places/states/routes in India in Hindi as subtitle(our national language) . Doesn't show which side of street address is located This used to be the most helpful function of this app and now all of a sudden, after years of having this function, it isn't working. I've reinstalled it and its still not showing which side of the street the address is located. Time for a new app!

Crash report After updating map its crashed every time when i try to get directions. Note: uninstalled once, cache cleared, data cleared, still not working. Phn model: asus zenfone 5.

Useless !! Get yourself an sat nav if you want to know what's gone and what's new. Google maps satalite must be at least 3 years out of date maybe more. Please tell me why you lack the capability to update your satalite view Google, Bing maps satalite view is well up to date.

Number one fan but UPDATE. Maybe if i change the stars from 5 to what it is now a 1 google mite give me an answer... The last couple of months google maps have stoped following me to work. I can fix this by restarting the phone (s6 edge) ive also tried reloading app but did work. Is this the phone or app. I live in sydney Australia. Kind regards steve.

Great, very very few errors. BUT, how about. Great app, of course it's destroying find your own way and map reading. One nice feature to ADD would be...Ability to add a short note to saved places

Good concept to make life easy and safe for new travellers Depend on it always to find new area specially very helpful during travel abroad. It's a nice concept to make travel easy for all by contributing from individual around the world (including myself as local guide 😉)

Update - GPS no longer continuously on, no longer killing battery. As promised back to 5 stars. Old review - BATTERY KILLER - I had to uninstall the current version to stop this app from killing my battery. Uninstall the updates from the app manager, switch off automatic update, and wait for a fix. The older version is sufficient. My daughter's Galaxy A5 phone usually loses about 5% overnight. She got woke up at about 4am with a battery low signal, the GPS location indicator blinking away, no Apps were opened!!! It burned off about 75% of her battery in sleep mode! This app should only access GPS when it is opened or whenever an app requests it but never continuously. All our devices were fixed this way. Please fix the GPS from continuously being on.

Was great til the update Now all the times are off, and all the extra side info of estimated times of departures just clogs up my screen and contradicts the route, and just over all, is generally confusing.

Great navigator....!!! Nice app for traveling to unknown places. Helps in exploring world on our own. But sometimes creats problems it need some more things like conditions about path, roads...

love it google maps has saved my a$$ so many times, im hopeless with directions, i would be so lost without it literally! 😱☺
