Awesome Experience! Its simple, which is the best thing. It made my phone faster. Doesnt need any booster app or stuff like that. Just add more things google please!!! We cannot add favourites more than 5. When im placing apps it often does not auto adjusts the apps at that place. There are no customisable options! This launcher is the future! Dont just make a launcher to experience stock android but to live it!

Download Nova launcher Forced bull sh.. But its getting better I don't know why Google feels the need to push this launcher is isn't even completed let alone usable just install Nova Launcher or go the extra mile and get the pro or donated version. The fact that you have improved your app drawer is nice but that doesn't fix the fact that I pick nova everytime

Bullshit !! No customization option. Font size is massive. No support of icon pack. What google is thinking? If customer satisfaction is their aim then it is not the right way. At least the mountain view guys learn from apex or nova launchers. They are the top now. If google trying hard to get a position on top then the team must support and work according to the needs of customers. It is Android and people are fascinating to use and tweak apps to suite them best and boast productivity....

FIXED thank you! Hi Google and Co, I have used Google Now Launcher Before and loved it however I am using on my Huawei P9 which wont let me set it as my home screen loader. Basically I press on it on the home screen and it comes up with a settings prompt, pressing this doesn't do anything (I've tried restarting and redownloading). Please help as I love this launcher! All the best. EDIT: I found a different method via forums. Thanks as I love this App!

Good launcher, almost perfect There is an issue after the latest update. If you somehow move the finger over the top search google bar (i'm using google start launcher) - a grey circle stays on that bar until you click on it. Looks like the trail from press is still on the google bar. Otherwise - best launcher so far. After my first comment developers fixed the blurry icons.

Looks nice doesnt play well with none google apk Dont care for google calendar. But launcher doesnt recognize my samsung calendar widget. Why does home screen only scroll right/left but app drawer only up/down. Lack of consistency with some elements of launcher. Would like to change app drawer background to other colors and transparency so i can see my wall papers. I dont use the google search bar at all would like to remove from the screen

Needs Improvement I have been using the Everything.Me for a while. I consider it to be one of the best launchers. However, I received a message on my Galaxy s5 stating that the launcher will shut down in a few days and it suggested downloading the Google Now Launcher. The launcher needs a lot of improvements, like the ability to automatically make Smart Folders , just like Everything.me.
One of my favorite I love this launcher. Runs very smoothly on all my devices with different processors and operating systems. The direct integration of the "Ok Google" command and Google Now is very helpful for people like me who have sold their souls to Google. I mean gosh all information is backed up there, they suggest articles for me to read, and they know where I live, work, frequently travel, and even park. This launcher makes that info integration so much better. ALL HAIL OUR OVERLORD GOOGLE.
Good Launcher but... This is really good Launcher except for one thing. The Google search bar at the top of the home screen. It cannot be removed without modification (rooting) or choosing a different Launcher. I would like to have the option to remove the search bar. I don't use it and it takes up valuable screen real estate. If I want to look something up I will go to the Google now page and do so. Give us options Google. Customizability is at the heart of the Android OS. Don't try and be like Apple. Give us choices.
Great Launcher Customising text, icon size, app drawer background etc. would be very welcome. Changing the app drawer background to black as opposed to white would probably aid in using less battery power too. The iOS Google now app works better than this one. If I scroll to the bottom to open "more stories" before opening an article in the app or Chrome, when I go to Google now I'm forced to start again from the 1st page and scroll through everything to continue looking at articles that appear after the last one I read.
It's good to have it there But for real....Why isn't there a 'search tools' when I use it and it opens its own browser? Unless it's something i know will be the top result, I have to exit it and open chrome just so I can google search with tools to pick when to search or by verbatim. And I do a lot of searches that require in the 'last month' or 'last year' & that option through the launcher would be nice. Surprised you didn't have it already. I'll give you 5✡ if you do😁
Quick, Intuitive Google Experience A launcher for those who are happy with their stock Android operating system. Swipe right for cards and that's about it. The result is one of the best launchers that you can get for both high-end and cheaper Android phones. I wish that swiping up from home would open cards on lower-end devices, instead you have to hold the home key. It relies on personal data and your preferences heavily to deliver a wide variety of Google services. Small, tidy, and packs a punch.
Stock Android = Happy Android Nice job on the launcher Google, Besides all the spying... ;). Just make the launcher more stable. I'm running this on an HTC 10 and I still notice some botchy scrolling when navigating through the interface. 8-13-2016 UPDATE : As of now when pressing the back button when reading a news story out of Google Now, instead of leaving off where I last scrolled, it goes back to the top of the page on Google Now. I like this launcher guys, I don't wanna get rid of it... 10-4-2016 UPDATE : SMOOTH AS BUTTER
Not Much Options : Hello all, its a default launcher so i hv to keep it my mobile otherwise i would've removed it on the first day. It doesn't provide much options. Not much modification in User interface. Like resizing of icons. Its has a vry traditional look of Android. It should come with more like available in Go Launcher, nova and other available in store. I don't hate it, but i want it to improve. So i don't hv to install other app, & my phone can look beautiful. Please devs not it.
Closer to stock with each release I love the fact that I can get features of newer android versions through apps like this. They fixed my last major gripe when they added an app tray alphabetical scroll bar. It took its sweet time getting here, but it is nice that stock is now "good enough" by itself.
I'm not sure if my opinion matter's..... Only because I didn't put any efforts into finding out more about "Google Launcher " Why it was/wasn't the best choice for me (so I could have all strictly Google apps). I would prefer if I have all of my apps. Be literally on the same page!! So besides no, no,nothing extra for playing. I'm sure it will be amazing as always though and thanks for the time you have taken from your busy schedule I appreciate it
Could be better The icons are a bit large for my taste. Being able to switch it to make them smaller would be great. On my phone (S7 edge) using this disables the edge notifications that I get by using Samsungs default. Also apps don't show the notification bubbles which I prefer. I like the layout though and the quick access to now cards. If these other things still worked as well it'd be a better review.
Does the job, and does it well. All the other fancy launchers like Nova, Go, Hola, Arrow, Aviate and the rest may have a better interface and countless customisations but Google Now Launcher is free and Ad - free at the same time. After using this for a while I am not able to go back to the stock launcher or any other launchers. It is simple. Everything is where it should be. Microsoft's Arrow and Nokia's Z launcher are so basic they should not even be in the 'beta' phase, just short of falling apart. Yahoo's Aviate is a decent attempt.
Love the simplicity and info I disagree with other reviewers who say it needs more features/customization - there are dozens of other launchers if that's what you want to do, but I appreciate how simple this is and the quick access to Google Now and I don't want that to change! P. S. On Samsung devices, it doesn't seem to like when Knox protection is enabled; sometimes some icons disappear.

I guess that's five stars but then that would mean it was the best thing ever and there be no reason to continue making meaning for dreaming of things. Not all that great... I feel as if you're trying to make Android more like Apple with this launcher. I liked the ability to have pages to the left, but that is now gone. Also you jacked up the app drawer bringing back to not so nice Android gingerbread by having it as a vertical scrolled. Also widgets were better located in the app drawer on a separate page. This launcher is also not so customizable. I understand that there's other launcher, but you should have customization options.
My Go-To Launcher I installed this launcher on 2 Kit Kat phones and I couldn't be happier. I use this launcher for its tasteful aesthetics qualities, intelligently designed vertical scrolling App drawer, and for "Any Screen OK Google" support. To be honest, I never enabled the Now features due to the potential hit on my data cap and just not actually needing them. Still, for me and my purposes, this Launcher is perfect and I highly recommend it. My only request, would be for implementation of an optional dark theme.
Great, But Missing One Important Feature. I love this launcher, and love my phone feeling like stock Android. It's fast and sleek, yet simple and subtle at the same time. The one killer missing feature, for me, though, is the lack of ability to hide icons. I hate that unnessesary items like pro app unlockers, and various added settings applications cannot be hidden. For me, that kills the simple, efficient nature. Once that feature is added, it will be the only launcher I use on all my devices.
Almost 5 stars but.. My default messaging app Textra, its icon is always disappears in the home screen when I exit from another app. And some of my widgets does not appear in my widget library like my calendar widget. I hope you guys could fix this then I would make it 5 stars. But on the brighter side, it made my grand prime phone more faster. Thanks for this app.
Apps tray not working and lagging. I have set it as default launcher in my Sony Xperia Z2 and is fine till now. Recently i have tried it on my Xiaomi Mi4i and things got all wrong. Its hanging the whole phone and background processes also the app tray always display either black or one big icon. What should i do. Why are you guyz not giving any update on this app while you update all other apps weekly or monthly. Need answer GOOGLE...
Maybe TOO convenient? Having Google Now on the left most home screen is convenient. Having a persistent search bar on every available home screen is also convenient. Having them both enabled at all times feels redundant. I wish I could toggle them, and also wish that I could theme Google Now Launcher, seeing as it is the best integrated launcher for Android and keeps bloat software down. As pretty as Material design is it gets in the way of the customisability I love most from Android. Otherwise, a fantastic launcher.
Great on the 5x Excited about the integration of hardware and app software along with marshmallow. Just a few things...BIGGEST ISSUE no way to hide apps! Also, please enable voice function of Google services on phones and tablets to transfer music or video to Chrome cast "ok Google, cast my music/video to (name of cast device)". Maybe get "ok Google" voice search for Netflix and other streaming video services. And make the "ok Google" voice recognition totally customizable, I tried recording "Hey Google" and had no luck.
All around awesome Go launcher is really well made, it streamlines a lot of the phone and having google now more readily available is convenient. I have noticed some issues though, I have a Samsung s7 and my Samsung themes don't work with this app launcher, most likely since they're system apps, however, the last time I updated my phone they did change for the launcher. It would be nice if Google could fix this issue and not hope that there is an update in order to get the themes I want
Amazing! Really cool. I always wanted to use a phone with stock Android UI. I bought a budget phone (Lenovo a6000 plus), which had a crappy launcher. I was quite disappointed. Google Now launcher is the closest to stock Android experience. If only it could change the appearance of scroll down screen too... It would be nice if it can retain home screen layouts of perviously used launcher. I would also like to see the icon size in the app drawer to be customizable.
Not bad. Pretty decent replacement launcher. Not as customizable as Nova Launcher or GOLauncher, but those are in separate categories anyways. This launcher serves its purpose strictly as an easier, more intuitive way to utilize the Google Now feature already built into Android phones. However, as always, this launcher is a year behind Google's other main apps and is need of an update. Not comestically, but with the release of Nougat upon us... The rest is history.
Finally came back to it Of course it could be improved but it's simple and stable, a very good reason for me to come back to it. A possibility to hide applications in the drawer would be a great addition (for those we do not use and can not disable) and hide the search field on home screens as we already have it on now tab. Anyway a good launcher for Google products users.
Stock Android but... Love the fact that this is stock Android and I like how everything works. Biggest issue for me is that the Command Center widget on the Droid Turbo 2 has a bug that produces a border around the it after so much time has passed. This happened probably within the last 3-4 months. Please fix the compatibility with the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. It's already almost the most stock Android you can get compared to all the other "major"manufacturers. I'm on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Really great, clean, love the design runs nicely but please please PLEASE allow us to REMOVE the Google search bar. Would give it all 5 stars but I really dislike not being able to have the option to add/remove not to mention it takes up so much screen space. Maybe at least make it see through????? Something!!! I refuse to switch to a different launcher just to bypass this
Can't use it The launcher might be useful if it worked for me. Unfortunately, when I swipe left to see my apps I apparently have none. No apps at a are visible. I have tried contacting Google for support to see if there is something that can be done but I only received an automated response telling me to look online. That was a big help as you can imagine. Especially considering there is no support for this launcher on the link provided.
Notification Badges and Missing Apps The notification badges that are present with most other launchers (including stocks like Touchwiz and HTC Sense) are unavailable here. Bring them back. I also noticed that some of the Samsung content, like "Samsung Apps", are no longer available under the launcher. I'd still like some Samsung spice in this Now meal. Two small tweaks for a big impact, otherwise this is a PERFECT launcher.
Search bar locked to every home screen! Just bought a new phone, finally moving away from Samsung. Found I was getting upgrade to 6.0.1 and still the Google search bar is locked to every single home screen. IT'S MY PHONE so I wanna be able to move things that I don't have a use for or that look a disgrace blocking my personal photo I use for wallpaper. Come on Google. You're getting like Apple these days forcing settings onto us! Possibly the main reason I haven't entertained Apple at all. However, may as well consider them again!
Nice but can be better. App is not bas its just I preffer more Nova App Launcher. It will be great if I can see my wallpaper picture when open an app drawer instead of having a white background. And google search bar really bothers the phone home screen and it can not be removed. Also not able to relocate the app icons on the bottom of the home screen. And I think app icons are too big.
I love this app! I think this app is amazing and borderline life changing! It tells me everything from where I parked to how long it'll take to get home from wherever I am! My only suggestion would be to add a read later button for articles in the stories section because sometimes I don't have time but would like to read something then I come back and it's gone. Besides that I absolutely love this app! Keep it up Google!
I like it, but I don't love it. Customizability is one of the reasons why, Google Cards may be cool but customization is one of my major issue. I can't use icon packs and some performance and animation tweaks, Nova Prime has those features and hopefully Google add these features soon in the future. Overall, Google Now Launcher is a simple yet beautiful launcher that gives your phone a stock vibes into it.
I only use this as it is simple. I MUCH prefer Action Launcher 3. It has gestures, which is one of the fastest growing requests on android launchers, and for good reason. It has some hiccups with regards to my phone so I moved to Yahoo Aviate. It is much better but the autonomous leaders at Yahoo never seem to listen to it's users and there are some BIG problems with the way Yahoo Aviate operates. Now I SETTLE for the very limited and boring Google Now Launcher. :( STATUS: Currently browsing for a better launcher.
