Glitches galore!
Okay, so I figured that by updating the app that previously worked fine, it should continue working as expected.
Don't get your hopes high, because that's not how this update turned out at all!
For starters, the video slowed to a crawl and failed to function properly the first time I paused it, and after closing and reopening the app, things get buggier. Suddenly, I have no control over what's happening on the screen, and double clicking the home button opens the multitasking pane, yet touch is still rendered useless by the app's severe glitches. I'm certain that it wasn't a hardware problem, yet the screen acted as if inputs were being registered when they clearly weren't. This problem happened immediately after updating the app and using it, I've never had such severe problems with an iPhone before. How on earth is this kind of blatant lack of QA control possible from a corporation with more resources and experience than most app devs?!?!
Tl;dr: DONT UPDATE!
Terrible. Okay moments, but overall terrible.
This app has tons of issues: the load process, the crashes, the glitches (like when the description/like area disappears), and acting like there's no internet connection even though it'll let you refresh, and you can have all three bars of wifi, or all bars of data, like... What? And then to top it off I HAVE to use this app (forced) because it is a pain to try to open a browser when you keep getting that dumb notification, and you don't get to use the two good features of the app: moving the video and whatnot and being able to see how many subscribers the youtuber you're watching has. (And sometimes, not even THEN because after like five minted the description box disappears). But, you know, that's it so I gave it a WHOPPING 2 STARS, Haha!💁🏽🙅🏽🤗😠
FIX "WATCH LATER"
The watch later feature allows you to create a place for videos you would like to watch later. For example. If I am scrolling past my subscriptions, and I see something that I may want to watch later, I can tap the video and add it to the pile. (THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE) However, the problem is that once a video is watched, it will stay in the pile. So after a while my pile will keep filling up. This really wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that the newest videos are at the bottom, so that if I want to watch a video, I will have to scroll past hundreds of videos. I feel like this is an easy fix. Thanks!
