I was dismayed to see a Herbalife stand inside the Barclays branch at Clapham Junction in London, where two young women were trying to recruit distributors to sell their products. In the US, most of the media treat Herbalife as a pyramid scheme. I raised the matter with bank staff, who simply shrugged their shoulders and said it was a Barclays scheme to help entrepreneurs.

I am a retired police officer with a part-time job, and when I submitted a self-assessment tax return for the first time, I made the genuine mistake of declaring that I had a police pension, but not the amount. I assumed Revenue & Customs would know the amount as it taxes me on it every month. It fined me with late penalty charges, though the return was not submitted late. On December 3, an assistant in my local Debenhams dropped a large bottle of foundation, which smashed, damaging two bags I had with me. One was a Mulberry costing £750 (I have given the store the receipt) and the other a Betty Barclay shopper, which cost £80 (I can't find the receipt). Debenhams admitted liability, but won't pay the cost of replacing them.

Good To Be Green was part of a shady network of companies that sold carbon credits, advising investors that prices were 'soaring'.It claimed to have 'a team of highly qualified diamond experts', offering 'superior rare jewels' as investments. It was all lies. This was just a boiler room scam using false claims and high pressure sales calls to cheat people. The business was run by Ricky Burgess from Westcliff, a suburb of Southend, Essex, who was 21 when he set it up.

Lifestyle Claims persuaded me it could reclaim my payment protection insurance premiums. Then staff said it could investigate my mortgage as well and get me a refund. I said I could not afford the fees, but it already had my card details from my original payment of £99, and when I got my next statement I found it had taken a further £1,199.

I noticed that 13,500 Nectar points, worth £65, had been redeemed from my card at the Argos branch in Totton, Southampton. I had no knowledge of this spending, and my card had not been out of my possession. Three weeks later I checked again, and realised nothing had been done. This time, my card has been cancelled and I have yet to receive a new one.

Our Thomson flight from Ibiza to Bristol was delayed by seven hours. I completed a claim and had an automatic reply saying Thomson would be in touch within 56 days. After 60 days, I phoned Thomson and was told that due to high demand it would now take 90 days to deal with the claim.

Thomas Cook refunded the deposit, but Staysure is refusing to remit the rest so I am £1,200 out of pocket.
