Nick Jonas released a song about bacon, and I have no idea if that's a sex thing

The latest single from Nick Jonas' forthcoming album Last Year Was Complicated is called "Bacon." The song is about bacon, I think, unless it is about some kind of sex thing.

I never understand innuendos

It reminds me of another song that was released this year by another former boy band member — "lUcOzAdE," by Zayn Malik. As The Verge's Jamieson Cox noted, "lucozade" sounds like it is probably "some kind of promethazine-codeine cousin," but it is actually just British Gatorade. In the case of "Bacon," I initially assumed the bedroom-y beat and whispered vocals indicated that "bacon" was some kind of innuendo I was unfamiliar with. After scouring the web and quizzing my coworkers I am pretty sure it is just bacon, like the food.

I guess Nick Jonas really knows his audience — young adults who were slightly alt, but in a very boring way, in 2010!

At one point, Nick tells the woman he is with that she is "sizzling, white hot," which is I guess a flattering way to compare a woman to a piece of meat that is being fried in its own fat. I don't know if it is quite an innuendo though — perhaps just a sloppy metaphor?

This Nick Jonas song about bacon / "bacon ;)" has a very romantic chorus:

One thing I love more than being with you
And that's no ties, no drama in my life
Yeah I, I woke up like this
Feel like...
Aw shit, throw some bacon on it

So actually, "Bacon" is about Frankenstein-ing an iconic Beyoncé lyric into a cute lil poem on how being with women is nice, but being without women and without the drama that women bring is better.

Now that that's resolved, my only remaining question is, if Nick Jonas can just wake up and immediately "throw some bacon on it," does this mean that he has a George Foreman grill in his bedroom? Does he know how dangerous that is?

"Bacon" features a Ty Dolla $ign verse which is explicitly about sex, but doesn't have anything to do with bacon. Maybe it's about bae-con if you know what I mean.
