Similar to GroundOverlay, please add a transparency property to the TileOverlay so tiles may be drawn with a specific transparency.

This option is already available on the iOS version of Google Maps. I really need this (or some kind of work around) in order to make my app useful on Android.

How about a workaround where you modify the tile bitmap after downloading it and before returning in getTile? |
