Active incidents are prominently displayed at the top of your page for your visitors to see right when they arrive, and they have easy access to subscribe to further updates via email or SMS. How To Communicate During Downtime
Having a single place to tell our customers about issues we're having makes it extremely easy to keep them in the loop at all times.
James Yu, Parse
Modern systems are made up of many different functional pieces, and listing each piece separately helps you more accurately communicate the status of your infrastructure.
Do your users a favor and let them know of scheduled maintenance well in advance of it actually happening. Scheduled maintenance is displayed right on your page and we even send email/SMS reminders ahead of time to those who opt-in. Here's How It Works
Being able to schedule maintenance ahead of time allows us to give our customers a heads up that we're going to be out of commision briefly. Our customers really appreciate it.

Now you can show the status of services that your product is built on. Simply add a Shared Component for each of those vendors, and we'll automatically update its status and when we detect that they are up, down, or in a degraded state.
There are currently almost 50 services that we have status information for. Some of this data comes from them being StatusPage.io customers and we're scraping the custom status pages of the others. Here's How It Works

If you want to prove your organization is committed to transparency, showing exactly how your systems are performing is a step in the right direction. It can also help your customers self-diagnose problems by giving them some insight as to how your systems are performing. Here's How It Works
Public performance metrics on our status page are key to Ping Identity's commitment to transparency and reliability of our services. It's one of the simplest ways for us to effectively communicate metrics to all our customers, and allow them to consume that information however they choose.

Downtime doesn't always have to be a customer service disaster. By proactively notifying users of downtime, you can turn a bad situation into a memorable customer experience. Your end users will be able to subscribe to incident notifications via email, SMS, and webhook (for the neckbeards among us).
As a credit card vault and payment processor, we are one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure our customers build their companies on. Being able to effectively communicate with them when we're having availability issues is crucial.
- Nathaniel Talbott, Spreedly
Every organization's infrastructure has many parts that customers use - everything from an API, to a management portal, to email deliverability. Because your infrastructure relies on a variety of moving pieces, an incident that affects one user may not affect another. That's why we let your users opt-in to the parts of your service they care about.
Our customers rely on Server Density for their monitoring so if there are any problems, it's important they know about it right away. StatusPage.io makes it easy for our customers to get real time notifications so they can make alternative arrangements when necessary.
- David Mytton, Server Density
