STOCKHOLM—Eurovision, Europe’s song contest where national flags matter as much as melodies, has crowned a singer with a voice—and a message: Ukraine’s Jamala.
The singer won the 61st edition of the music competition, in which singers from across the continent perform in front of a television audience of about 200 million.
