Fire in the Sky

I met up with a few friends at Lake Chabot here in the Bay Area a couple of months ago. Boy, oh Boy were we surprised by this amazing sunset. For a while it looked like it was going to be a flop and several folks left, but for the few of us that stayed we got this wonderful show. The light just kept getting better for at least an hour. The ducks didn't seem impressed, but I sure was! Enjoy your week everyone...

Sun Worshiper

What an amazing afternoon we had up on the North Shore of Oahu. We found this incredible scene at Waimea Bay. The surf was high and lots of warnings from the lifeguards about rip currents and the dangerous waves. It was definitely a day for watching and not for swimming...

Just Another Sunset in Paradise!

Here is a beauty from one of our final evenings in Hawaii last week. We were on our way back from the north shore and we could see some color starting to show up on the horizon as the sun was headed down, but there was absolutely nowhere to stop. I figured we'd miss the sunset, but as we drove into the hotel parking there was still some beautiful color left so we grabbed the cameras and ran for the beach. Just another beautiful sunset in paradise, right???

Lazy Day at the Beach

There were some amazing waves this trip to the North Short of Ohau in Hawaii. The mist and sea spray made for a very hazy/lazy day with all of the wind and the sea was mostly too choppy for the surfers. That couple on the far end of the beach almost disappears in the haze. I think I could have sat there for hours and watched those waves pound into the shore...

Low Tide Sunset

I was delighted to discover this spot the other day as sunset snuck up on me - plus it was low tide so all of these little tide pools and puddles still had some water in them! Hope you all had a nice weekend and are looking forward to a brand new week... Take care everyone!

Romeo Pier Glow

+Alex Lapidus and I couldn't resist a visit to Romeo's Pier at Pillar Point during our afternoon out at the coast while +David R Robinson was in town last week. Instead of sunset, we were completely socked in with fog. But as the lights in town started coming on, something was bright enough to light up the fog and give me this wonderful glow. Just goes to show you never know what you'll find in any weather condition, may as well stick around - you just might end up finding something wonderful...

It's All About the Clouds...

There was no way we were going to miss finding a spot for sunset this day on Prince Edward Island, those clouds were amazing and this nice little bay was the perfect ending to our day exploring lighthouses.
