Despite the President's homophobia, Pride marches on
#LGBTQ #Pride #humanrights
The entire world is deeply unsurprised that the Trump administration refused to acknowledge June as LGBTQ Pride month, while he's promoting June as homeowner's month.

Learning someone is trans done right
#LGBTQ #transgender #feels
This is such a gorgeous story. Everyone should get this kind of love and support, right up till when it's no longer an issue.
I'm not crying, you're crying!

Gender discrimination affects everyone.
This girl's gender identity was invalidated by adults because of her short hair, with a resulting revocation of her team's wins qualifying them for the local tournament final round. They refused to reverse the decision when offered evidence that she's a girl in effect punishing her entire team for her failure to comply to their gender expectations about hair.
Cisgender people can have their gender identities invalidated, too, and it's most often done to those who violate people's arbitrary gender norms. Sometimes these cis women read as "too masculine" and cis men read as "too feminine" are blocked from accessing restrooms, not given work opportunities, or excluded from gender-specific activities like this soccer tournament, just as transgender people commonly are.

Thailand government to revive bill in favour of LGBTQ rights and same sex marriage
#LGBTQ #MarriageEquality #loveislove #transgender #Thailand
A bill that has been in the Thai legislature since 2013 without progress will now be pushed to the forefront. According to the ministry of justice, recent demonstrations and petitions from the community have brought the matter back into the spotlight. Along with the influence of the recent laws in Taiwan allowing for same sex marriage, Thailand looks to be next in line to legislate for equality.

#LGBTQ #music #humanrights
A new charity album, Rainbow Riots, features LGBT musicians from countries where homosexuality is a crime and where anti-LGBT violence is widespread, including Uganda, Malawi, and Jamaica.
The eclectic album is composed and produced by Swedish artist and activist Petter Wallenberg, who launched the project last summer after witnessing a brutal police raid on Ugandan Pride. All proceeds from sales of the album will benefit Wallenberg’s Rainbow Riots charity, which is committed to ending anti-LGBT discrimination around the world
