I had to taper off after I got my 5 gallon pin and now I'm ready to ramp up again. Thank you for the reminder.

+Deborah Galatzan Toda. And shabbat shalom! I love this scripture also and think it represents the song well: its from Isaiah 40:1-2: 'Comfort, O comfort My people," says your God. 2"Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her iniquity has been removed, That she has received of the LORD'S hand Double for all her sins."…'

Peace Psalm of David

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul; He guideth me in straight paths for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Psalms 23:1-4

A worthwhile read--Why the Status Quo is Sustainable
"The only credible threat to a viable Israel would be a nuclear Iran."

Israel and the Post-American Middle East
Martin Kramer +Foreign Affairs

Lamentations over the state of Israel have been a constant for 70 years, but never have they been so detached from reality. Today Israel is more globalized, prosperous, and democratic than at any time in its history. As the United States withdraws from the region, Israel is well positioned to hold its own.

The grande paradox--a predicted predicament with the terrorist regime. The nuclear deal that would make the world a safer place has, ostensibly, emboldened the worst behavior from the regime. Efforts to change the ugly reality by reimposing tough sanctions, may jeopardize the agreement with Iran, since Iran`s `hegemonic ambitions`, support for terrorist organizations against Israel, Iran`s deplorable number of executions and human rights abuses, and the missile program were not issues included in the nuclear agreement.

Even the faux `moderates`,  President Rouhani and Foreign Minster Jarad Zarif, never said that Iran`s behavior would change after the nuke deal--merely false hope stemming from the West...shameful insult to injury.

The Iranian regime’s hegemonic ambitions and human-rights abuses have not been altered by the nuclear agreement Tehran reached with world powers in July, two US-based Iranian-born experts told The Algemeiner on Tuesday. If anything, they said, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has emboldened the powers-that-be in the Islamic Republic. Pooya Dayanim, president of the California-based Iranian Jewish Public Affairs Committee, and Reza P...

Apparently, Russia has `echo chambers`, too---far from the truth.

To the contrary, PM Netanyahu has stated that the obsolete Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 would need amending.  Diplomats from countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt have stated the Arab Peace Initiative would not be changed. Over the years, PM Netanyahu has, emphatically, stated that Jerusalem would not be divided, unlike the API of 2002 which calls for East Jerusalem to be the capital of the established Palestinian state.

A worthwhile read

Perhaps the disparaging survey stats, compiled by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in 2015, need more attention. The International Peace Conference, held last Friday in Paris, again, mentioned adhering to the Arab Peace Initiative that was adopted by the Arab League in 2002. In the proposal, East Jerusalem would become the capital of an established Palestinian state.
