Burj Khalifa is the tallests artificial structure in the World standing 829.8 metres. Constitution began on 6 January 2004 with the exterior of the stucture completed on 1 October 2009. The building official opened on 4 January 2010 nd is part of new 2 km square development called Downtown Dubai at the first interchange along Shiekh Jayed Road near Dubai's main business distinct. The Tower artichecture nd engineering were performed by Skidlnors owing nd Merrill of Chicago with Adrian Smith as chief architect nd Bill Baker as chief structural engineer. The primary contractor was Sumsung C & T of South Korea. 
The Tower contraction was done by the contraction division of Al Ghurair Investment Group.
