During a recent 3 week vacation period, Gayle and I traveled all over the Country on Aerolineas Argentinas (AA). That would be 7 flights total taking us from and to Buenos Aires (EZE and AEP), in addition to Trelew, Iguazu, Salta, Jujuy, and Bariloche. Gayle would describe our overall experience as simple and straightforward. I would say that AA delivered well on its business model and service plan.

Here are some underlying details:
- Airline personnel were without exception highly professional and friendly. That included the good folks at check-in, at the gate, and on the plane.
- The planes we flew were either Boeing 737 (700 or 800) or Embraer 190. The later has a charging port at each seat. The 737-700 seating was a little tight. Otherwise, the plane were clean, well-maintained, and provided a relatively comfortable flight.
- We received Delta Sky Miles points for our flights.
- Only the AEP to Bariloche flight was late. Except for this our AA flights arrived on time if not a little early.
- We were charged for excess baggage (greater than 13 kg) twice. Airline discretion I guess. In any event, it set us back $26 per time, about the same price as US Airline bag check cost. At AEP, there's a separate excess baggage line which worked well.
- The AA snack boxes were like a box of chocolates. You were never sure what you're going to get. Usually it was some crackers and cookies. Sometimes orange juice was included or other times a stand alone mini-sandwich. It was all good. Drinks were limited to water, coffee, Sprite or Coca Cola.
We were advised before we booked our trip that AA's LAN (from Chile) might be a better choice. Maybe so, but based on our experience, we were very pleased with our Aerolineas Argentina experience.
