


Goldwind |

It was established in 1998 and is a subsidiary of the Xinjiang Wind Energy Company (XWEC). It's main office is in Urumqi of the Xinjiang Province in Northwest China. Goldwind is is a publicly traded company on the Hong Kong Exchange with alignment with Xinjiang Science and Technology Commission.[2]
Goldwind sells turbines in the 250 kW, 600 kW, 750 kW and 1.2 MW classes. [3]
It's biggest competitors in China are Vestas Wind Systems (VWSYF) and Gamesa (GCTAF). It also has several smaller competitors.
Goldwind makes it a practice send it's staff overseas to gain expertise in this field. The company has reported that two thirds of it's staff has attended events promoting the exchange of technology, or have been received further training by other companies and institutes. Top level managers have been sent abroad to attain MBA programs as well. Other efforts to increase employee loyalty include the company permitting it's employees to own stock it's stock.[5]
