A bit about our software: WebCEO is a set of quality SEO tools based on a single platform. It is a fast, time-saving, stable and elegant product - we hope you will agree with this statement once you have tried it out. What is more, it is constantly evolving and getting better year after year - we do our best to make it superb. Our aim is to create software that will fully satisfy the SEO needs of small businesses and SEO agencies. So far we've been very successful at this.

The Radiocom company, established in 1992, changed its name to Web CEO Ltd. The then small WebCEO team released HitLens - one of the most innovative website visitor tracking tools of the time, 5 years prior to Google Analytics.

WebCEO Desktop Suite
This was a time when newly born and innocent online businesses could not distinguish “black hat” SEO techniques from "white hat" SEO. Marketers and business owners needed trustworthy SEO tools to help them promote their sites effectively. Our team stood on the right side from the very beginning and responded to this need: we released the WebCEO Desktop software, a set of SEO tools built on white hat SEO principles.

We reached the 500,000 users benchmark. With a set of 12 SEO tools, WebCEO Desktop was still a Windows-only application. The world was rapidly changing. SEO adapted accordingly. We understood that our software needed to change as well.

A team of more than 50 people worked hard on building a new product: WebCEO Online. It was designed to be an all-in-one SEO platform; fast, reliable, accurate – and accessible anytime, from any part of the world by more than one simultaneous user.

Voila! WebCEO Online software came out of beta. Although it wasn’t originally as stylish and full-fledged as it is now, it provided all of the must-have SEO tools. We fulfilled our customers’ growing demand for a web-based solution and were happy about that (and praised, too).

Local Rank Checker
An important update in Rank Checker: an ability to track local results on Google. It was one of the first steps to providing SEO professionals with a second-to-none Rank tracking tool. Nowadays, the tool retrieves and then slices and dices Ranking data by so many parameters, that we can honestly say: this tool is a king among its analogues.

Backlinks, beneficial vs. harmful, were and still are important SEO factors. After the first Penguin update in 2012, we released two new tools in response: the Backlink Quality Checker - for cleaning up toxic links and building great backlink profiles, and the Competitor Backlink Spy tool, which speaks for itself and has become exceedingly popular and unmatched among competing SEO tool platforms.

We released the SEO Lead Generation Module, a must-have widget system for SEO agencies and individuals who sell SEO services to third parties. Our agency customers’ site visitors can now generate free SEO audits for themselves, thus becoming great leads for the agencies, or the agency salespeople can enter a prospect’s email address themselves and send a free SEO audit which can then be followed-up.

Multilingual SEO Reports
Drum Roll! With the new Crowd Translation Center we became multi-lingual for many languages overnight. From a single word in any report to the whole interface - WebCEO is continually being translated to 140+ languages by our customers and white label partners. It was an important and highly demanded update, since our users live all over the world. It amazes and inspires us to see the translation activity happening on an ongoing basis!

Journal of Events
Another helpful option was added: the Journal of Events. It is loved by SEO agencies, because they can now add explanatory and other notes to any report. Events can be either private or public. Moreover, our team monitors Google Updates and adds them as events, which can help explain changes in traffic and rankings.
