They're not Easter eggs, the book is literally a laundry list of 80s pop culture references. It sucked, hope the movie elevates it.

Read the book. The iron isn't in it. It's Spider-mans giant robot from the Japanese power rangers style show. It's awesome.

Audio book is read by Wil Wheaton. He really knocks it out of the park. I'm on my 3rd go through.

It's a 2 minute introduction of the property to the whole world. It's a great way to get attention.
