    Tech journalists bitching about Apple removing from the App Store 3rd-party apps that control phones remotely also do not understand how abuse works. "Apple eliminating competition for Screen Time!" Uh, try again. Apple stopping abusers from tracking & controlling others.

    Look at the long arc of history. The invention of computers — business computers, personal computers, pocket computers — this is a huge change in how humanity operates. It’s not the “product” of the one company. It’s bigger than any of us. You can’t just “do it again”.

    I see Bay Area executives pushing all the time to “invent the next iPhone”. They think they’ll do so by hiring employees who survey customers & ask them what they want. So frustrating. I don’t think replicating the iPhone’s success is possible. Definitely not through surveys.

    “‘Where’s the next iPhone?’ they ask. That’s such a dumb question… It doesn’t really make much sense to expect any other company to make a product as successful as the iPhone soon… the iPhone is a once in a lifetime product.” I agree. Well, the other product was the computer.

    Ah, I am feeling so vindicated for keeping my information away from Gmail the last 15 years.

    The purchase history here is just... Has everything from what I bought for lunch at a sushi counter yesterday, to movies I've seen years ago, to Candy Crush upgrades, and what appears to be every single Amazon purchase I've made dating back to 2013
