Learn how to develop characters from basic shapes
Squares, circles, triangles or any shape you can imagine can help you create friendly characters like the ones in this course!
About this course
Have you ever tried to create a digital character out of scratch? On this course I will show you the process I use to create all my characters, we will go from the sketch process to the full digital painted character. We will use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to speed up our process.
The course is divided into different lessons that will show you how to approach each technique twice so you can fully understand the concepts behind each step.
What project are we going to develop?
On this course we will create two cat characters, using both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. While I will be creating cats, you can feel free to sketch a different animal or type of character, the concepts here can be easily applied on any of your projects.
Each technique will be applied twice so you can reaffirm each concept without a problem.
Who’s this course for? Requirements
For this course you don't need previous skills, all the concepts are explained in a basic way so you can easily follow along even if you have little experience.
We will be using a tablet for this course, you can use a simple or a professional one.
We will be using Illustrator and Photoshop CC but if you use a previous version there shouldn't be major problems while the layout may be different, the changes shouldn't impact the concepts behind each lesson.
