Possession Sentence Starters

Send a sentence to my inbox for a starter in which one of our muses is possessed by a spirit, demon, or other being. Trigger warning for threats of violence, harsh language,  manipulation, and obviously sensitive religious content.

“You’re not eating. Are you okay?”
“Your breathing sounds rapid.”
“I’m concerned. You’re not yourself today.”
“We’ve brought you here because we’re all very worried about you.”
“What is -wrong- with you?”
“Seriously, it’s like you’re a different person! What the hell happened?”
“I don’t think I like this person you’re becoming.”
“Why? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Hey, calm down. You’re really scaring me right now.”
“Oh my God. Who - who are you? WHAT are you?!”
“You’re not [name] anymore.”
“What have you done with my friend?!” [change relationship as necessary]
“Oh God, you’re not even human!”
“Snap out of it! Come back!”
“Please, stay away from me. Don’t take another step closer.”
“You’re not fooling me. I know what you are.”
“Calm down, [name]. This will pass. This will pass.”
“Get out of my friend and never fucking come back!”
“I don’t believe you. You’re lying.”
“Why should I listen to anything a monster like you has to say?”
“You’re just a parasite. Nothing more than a slimy, pathetic parasite!”
“If you’re in there, you need to keep fighting. Don’t let this monster win!”
“It’s gone. It’s okay. I’m going to keep you safe.”

“I don’t feel so well.”
“Oh God, something is wrong with me.”
“I can feel it. It burns in my chest, it’s making it hard to breathe. Oh my god, there’s something inside of me.”
“I don’t want to be a monster.”
”I think I‘m going to be sick.”
“Please. Save me.”
“Get out! Get out of here!”
“I swear, I’ll cut you open if you come near me!”
“What are you afraid of? That I’ll hurt you?”
“Look, it’s still me. Don’t you love me?”
“Come back here! Don’t you walk away from me!”
“Oh, [name]~ I have a fun game we can play together~”
“I’m not [name] anymore. I. Am. God.”
“Pray for your life. I want to hear you beg for it.”
“Your friend is nothing but filth and rot, and I had no choice but to destroy them.”
“They’re gone now. I’m the only one left. It’s just you and me.”
“I’ve spoken to the devil, and he wants you next.”
“I’m not human. I’ve never been human, but you accepted me anyway.”
“Go! Leave before it comes back and rips you apart!”
“Please, kill me. It’s the only way to get it out of me.”
“I didn’t want to hurt you.”
“Don’t let it take me. Please.”
“Is - is it gone?”
“I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry I hurt you.”

What could the Loch Ness monster be?

This is a question that plagues the mind of many monster and cryptozoology enthusiasts. For years people have speculated and wondered what the possible creature living in the loch could be. Lets take a look at some of the caniudates.

A lake sturgeon

  • A popular guess is a lake sturgeon. These fish are native to the lake and can grow up to 8 feet long. This fish also matches the description of hard crocodile-like plates on the back, which is a common theme in Nessie sightings.

Surfacing Tree

  • When trees become water logged and sinks to the bottom of the loch they can stay down at the bottom for years. When they resurface they release bubbles and then float to the top giving off the illusion of a creature coming up for air.

Eel

  • There have been eels known towash up on the shores of the loch and these are large enough animals(some growing up to 10 feet) to match the description of a large unknown creature swimming in the lake.

Swimming Elephants

  • Back when circuses traveled through england circus owners would allow their elephants to swim in the loch. Elephants swim with their trunks sticking out of the water. This makes the classic swan neck shape that is common throughout nessie sightings in the water.

A plesiosaur

  • One of the more fun ideas about Nessie is that she is a surviving plesiosaur from the triassic era. Though if Nessie was a plesiosaur she wouldn’t be able to move her neck in the swan like fashion as plesiosaurs necks were unable to move like that.

An unknown species

  • The last option for Nessie is she could be an undiscovered species that has eluded people for eons. A species that has humps, crocodile like plates, a swan like neck, and can survive in the cold waters of the loch.

So what is Nessie?

She could be any of those things until we know exactly what she is or isn’t and I think that’s the fun of the Loch Nes Monster. It can be whatever you want to be and no one can tell you otherwise.

I don’t know very many lore details about lotr - never finished return of the king because iirc too many paragraphs about frodo rock climbing - but from time to time I find myself looking for fanfic that humanizes Tolkien’s orcs. Like… fic of lotr Tolkien orc ocs. I’ve never looked up lotr fic about anything else. There’s just something about the idea of an Utterly Evil Monster Race that gets me instantly defensive x 3000

4. You Are My Sunshine (live)

It may seem like a bit of a read at first, and considering I just made this five minutes ago it hasn’t been play tested, but hopefully it’s easy to understand and get used to.  (Note: I left his alignment as unaligned because I don’t know anything about his story yet, just what I’ve seen in-game)

>In a perfect scenario, a creature like Etalus has some sort of obstacles between him and his opponents that will last just long enough for him to coat that space with ice from his Ice Rain.  Even if it were just a couple of goblins or some difficult terrain, once the party is slipping up on his ice, the tide is in his favor.

>His highest potential damage output is an Ice Hammer followed by a Bite.  Without their added effects, Claws is a much safer and more powerful- albeit repetitive- strategy.  But with the potential for temporary hit points from Ice Hammer and extra damage on Bite, they’ll be more useful more often than not.

>If Etalus uses his Ice Rain right, he can cover the whole battleground in ice, and his ice hammer only shatters one 15-ft. square at a time.  If he gets the entire enemy team onto his ice at the same time, he can trigger Cold Snap- or if he really needs to use it for an escape or something.  This can lock down a large group of character for up to 3 turns, allowing him to pile on the Claws attacks or reposition.

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but here’s some illustrations from my senior thesis at Ringling College of Art and Design. My thesis focused around the travels of an astronaut named Dita who is lost on an unfamiliar and savage planet. It included creature modeling and plot-point illustration. More to come. Catch me in my inbox if you would like to buy a PDF copy, or any prints/commissions!
