My toes hurt, my goosebumps have goosebumps, and my heart is full. I am happy, oh so happy.

I went on an adventure.

We start the day in the car with a map pulled up on my phone. We are determined to find this spot; the spot were the rocks divide the ocean. We park only to realize we are a mile away from where we want to be. We laugh from someplace too deep to locate, our laughter pouring out effortlessly, full of unfiltered joy. We decide to walk because we enjoy the weather and each others’ company and because we have no where else to be. We find our little sanctuary and begin to climb. We need the perfect spot for the perfect picture. He slips. I laugh. “Don’t die!” I yell over the wind. He is beautiful. The ocean is beautiful. The sky is beautiful. Even the wind, that freezes my toes and burns my skin, is beautiful. We take photos for a while.. and then we stop. “The sunset” I say. He agrees. We stand on the shore watching the sky change color, indecisive. He turns and tells me not to move; he pulls out the camera. He takes these.
