There’s always an experience, story, or benefit to enjoy when you own a Subaru.
We’re committed to making the world a better place. About the Love Promise
Subaru is dedicated to supporting organizations that help neighbors and community members in need.
Meals on Wheels operates in virtually every community in America through a network of more than 5,000 independently run local programs. Each program's services and operations are committed to supporting their senior neighbors to live healthier and more nourished lives in their own homes.
Over the past eight years, of annual Share the Love Events and during our month-long Subaru Loves to Help initiative in June 2015, Subaru and our retailers have helped MOWA deliver nearly 1.44 million meals to seniors, as well as officially sponsoring the MOWA online Volunteer Drive that helps connect volunteers to their local Meals on Wheels program.
The Subaru commitment to the Ready 365 Platinum Program enables the Red Cross to activate immediately and provide lifesaving aid across the United States, regardless of cost. In addition to providing shelter, food and care when disasters strike, the investment Subaru has made supports activities in advance of disasters, including training volunteers, securing shelter locations, stocking warehouses with relief supplies and maintaining disaster-relief vehicles.
Subaru of America provides ongoing support to the American Red Cross which this year alone has allowed the organization to serve more than 1,539,139 meals and snacks to people affected by disasters, launched more than 15 large-scale relief operations across the country and abroad and opened 365 new shelters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation's largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, making meaningful, monitored matches to provide children facing adversity with one-to-one mentoring that changes their lives for the better, forever.
As a 2010 Subaru Share the Love Event partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters received $676,754 in donations. These funds helped Big Brothers Big Sisters improve the lives of the nearly 600,000 children, guardians, and volunteers they serve annually.
Boys and Girls Club of America strives to help all young people, especially those who need support most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens by providing safe places during out-of-school time.
Subaru supported Boys and Girls Clubs during the 2008–2009 Share the Love Event and helped raise the capacity of the clubs to serve more kids more often.
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit whose mission is to help families break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security.
A three-time Subaru Share the Love Event partner, Habitat for Humanity received more than $3.1 million from 2008 to 2010. This funding supported Habitat for Humanity’s Global Impact Fund, strengthening families and communities through house construction, rehabilitation, and preservation.
The USO lifts the spirits of America's troops and military families, and is the only private nonprofit organization that serves the men and women in the U.S. military and their families throughout their service.
As a 2012 Subaru Share the Love partner, USO received over $670,000 in donations, which supported programming for those who need the USO most — military families and families of the fallen, wounded, or injured.
Subaru is the sponsor of the Subaru Choice Food Pantry at the Kroc Center in Camden, N.J. Kroc Center is the first-choice food pantry in Southern New Jersey, helping people live healthier lives by making healthier, self-sustaining food decisions.
With Subaru supporting the organization, they have been able to distribute more than 24,271 pounds of food locally, equating to 17,226 meals.
The Food Bank of South Jersey provides food to those in need, teaches them about nutritious eating, and helps them find sustainable ways to improve their lives.
Since 1986, Subaru and its employees have helped support the Food Bank of South Jersey through regular volunteerism annually and by providing 50,000 meals to the Food Bank through the Subaru Share the Love Garden harvests and annual Drive Out Hunger food drive.
New Visions is a day service center that provides shelter and warmth to the Camden, N.J., homeless community. It is the only center in Camden that serves men as well as women and children (during non-school hours).
Since 2009, Subaru has donated a part of the Subaru Share the Love Garden harvest, as well as conducted employee volunteer events that helped serve meals and collect and organize clothing for the homeless.
Philabundance has a simple belief that no man, woman, or child should go hungry. It addresses hunger through direct-service programs and a network of 500 member agencies, while also contributing to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, and more.
As a multi-year partner, Subaru and its employees routinely volunteer at the food bank and provide donations that have amounted to 1.8 million pounds of food to date.
This company-wide employee-driven food drive provides much-needed donations for local food banks, helping to fill the gap for food-insecure families. The food drive has provided more than 353,000 meals to food banks and pantries across the United States.
Two gardens—one near the Subaru corporate headquarters in Cherry Hill, N.J., and the other at the Subaru Western Region office in Denver, Colo.—provide fresh grown produce to local food banks and pantries. Nearly 4,000 pounds of produce have been harvested from these gardens and donated to help feed those in need.
FoodCorps is part of AmericCorps, which engages more than 80,000 Americans in service each year. FoodCorps was founded in 2010, with the first class of 50 members entering the field in 2011.
A small portion of FoodCorps funding comes from AmeriCorps, with the rest coming from foundations, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors. The organization depends on partners such as Subaru to ensure more children with limited resources are receiving food education and are gaining access to healthier food in school meals.
