Sarah lives thirty-five miles northeast of Mitchell, South Dakota, in a place nobody's heart of except close friends and family. She lives on a farm with her family and animal friends. In her free time Sarah works at her day job, knits, reads, and sometimes finishes writing whatever she is currently working on.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in rural South Dakota in the 1980s, on a dairy farm. This has spawned a few story ideas by itself, which have yet to take shape, but for the most part the influences this made upon my writing was that it gave me free time to write details into my story ideas.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in college, when one of my English professors gave us an assignment to write a short story. From then I wrote several stories and started working on a couple longer works. However I did not seriously start writing until 2011 when I found NaNoWriMo.
