Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences
Our powerhouse academic, health, and patient services division comprises
- eight schools and their attendant centers, institutes, and patient care facilities;
- New Jersey’s leading comprehensive cancer center;
- New Jersey largest behavioral health care network; and
- numerous additional centers, institutes, and patient care facilities.
Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick, RBHS collaborates with units across the university and with many other academic, research, and clinical units throughout the region.
Health Education
Built on the core eight schools of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, Rutgers delivers health sciences education across a broad continuum. Additionally, a world of knowledge and information fuels health care advances—knowledge and information that depend on chemists, economists, mathematicians, microbiologists, political scientists, and others educated in the essential arts and physical, social, and life sciences.

Rutgers is New Jersey's premier, university-based provider of patient care. Our faculty medical and dental practices, community-focused clinics, and behavioral health care centers throughout the state are ready to serve you with compassionate care. In addition, our clinical trials involve hundreds of researchers and thousands of patients.
The Rutgers University Board of Governors has authorized the creation of Rutgers Health—an innovative, statewide academic health care provider organization that will revolutionize patient care across New Jersey.
