Boston Properties has developed a Privacy Policy, described below, to inform you of Boston Properties' policy and practice regarding information we collect about you on our websites. By using our websites or providing your contact information (e.g., email address), you consent to our practices concerning the collection and use of your information. If you have additional questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.

This Privacy Policy governs the collection of information at the website located at the URL http://www.bostonproperties.com and any other Boston Properties websites that display or link to this Privacy Policy as well as any information you submit to Boston Properties via email, and describes what information our sites collect about you, how it is collected and how it is used.

Because our business will continue to evolve, from time to time our policies will be reviewed and may be revised. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and notify you by posting an updated version of the Privacy Policy on the websites. It is your responsibility to periodically check this page so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we might disclose it. The amended Privacy Policy will apply between us whether or not we have given you specific notice of any change.

Information Collected About You

Boston Properties collects certain personal information about you whenever you send an email to Boston Properties or complete one of our online forms, such as the Email Alert form. The personal information you provide can identify you and your business, and include such items as your name, your employer's name, email and US mail addresses, and office and home telephone and fax numbers.

Boston Properties also collects or logs other information that cannot identify you personally when you visit our websites. This information includes your Internet Protocol ("IP") address and your domain name. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) computer through which you access the web, and a domain name is the name of the ISP computer itself through which you access the web.

Boston Properties logs IP addresses and domain names and aggregates them for system administration and to monitor the use of our site. We use the aggregated information to measure the number of visits to our site, the average time spent on our site, the number of pages viewed, and to monitor various other site statistics. This monitoring helps us evaluate how our websites are used and helps us continuously improve the content we provide. Boston Properties does not share these statistics with outside parties, except businesses that provide requested services to Boston Properties, and bostonproperties.com does not link IP addresses or domain names with any personally identifying information, which means that a visitor's session will be logged on our servers, but the visitor will remain anonymous.

How We Collect Information About You

When you visit our websites, the sites collect certain technical information such as your IP address and domain name. We do not use this technical information to identify you personally. Boston Properties does not make use of "cookies" on our bostonproperties.com website. However, Boston Properties uses cookies on some of our other websites. We also collect personal and company information that you provide by filling out one of our online forms. If you have joined our Email Alert service, we may send you, via email, alerts, notifications, press releases or notifications of press releases that have been posted to our site. If you do not wish to receive these communications from us, please unsubscribe using our automated system.

How Your Information Is Used

We use the information you have provided to us in an online form to respond to your request for information about Boston Properties or comments you may have about our websites or other services provided by Boston Properties. If you so request, you may be added to our e-mail distribution list.

We do not provide personal information to third parties for their sale or use. We do share your information with our business partners that provide requested services to Boston Properties.  We will disclose personal information to comply with valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights and property or the property or personal safety of another user of the websites or any member of the public.

Changing or Deleting Your Email Address and Other Information

All information that you provide to us is collected and stored automatically at the time that you provide your information. Currently, we do not offer anyone, including you, the ability to edit your information. If you would like to edit your information, please remove your information from our list and resubmit your information. If you would like to delete your email address from our Email Alert list, please unsubscribe from the Email Alert list.

How Your Information Is Protected

We have implemented administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personal information in our custody or control.  However, we cannot guarantee that these safeguards will prevent the unauthorized access, use or disclosure of your personal information. Bostonproperties.com may contain links to other sites. Boston Properties is not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of these other sites. Before disclosing your personal information on any other website, we advise you to examine the terms and conditions and privacy policies on those websites.
