Keanu has been nominated to become Time's Person of the Year 2019, and many people have submitted memes and posts asking to vote for him. Personally, I don't think this is something a humbe person like Keanu would want. The star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, his handprints in front of the Chinese Theater, those are the kind of accolades for him. During his ceremony Keanu said, "I love movies. I love watching them, and I love making them." That's what he's all about.
That being said, I don't think posts about Keanu becoming Time's Person of the Year are in the spirit of this sub, and they will be removed.
With respect, it isn't your call to make. You haven't asked him, you've assumed it. If he was given it he would accept it graciously as he does everything else but I didn't think this was a dictatorship?
This post is about the reasoning behind a new rule. It's not a dictatorship, it's the mods' job to put some guidelines in place that assure the quality of the sub. We don't allow religious or political posts, or posts soliciting upvotes. This falls under the same category.
But they're you're guidelines that we're not happy with. Do you want us to leave? Fine. We'll start our own one up but let me ask you something. Have you asked Keanu Reeves if he is happy with you doing this? If you haven't and you continue to remove posts you and other mods are being dictators and this was not what I or anyone else signed up for. Leave it alone and leave everyone in peace. We're not being offensive, just telling you that we don't appreciate your stance.
Do a vote but don't just presume!
It's a guideline you're not happy with, you haven't asked the rest of the community either. We're removing countless low-effort posts that just don't belong here, there are few subreddits that are completely "self-moderated." So these guidelines are definitely important, and this subreddit would be a circle jerk without them.
Well, he didn't know who she was. And he's a germaphobe, so I guess it makes sense.
I don't know who that [crazy fan] was." -Jerry probably
I'd say sometime after the release of "Speed"
I'd say sometime between conception and birth.
