A whole 20 people?
I made a mistake in the title. The article actually states 20 people per day. Also the crash was in the high country so was a bit of a hiking trip to walk there

I’m a statistician and I can tell you that it’s exactly 1. The rate of unicorns to leprechauns would be the slope of the line of best fit.
If you pause at about 12s you’ll notice that the club face is oriented toward the ground. This will cause a closed club face and some nasty pull hooks. Ideally the toe of the club should be pointed to the sky at this point in the swing. Try rotating your wrists more so that your thumbs are underneath the shaft at the top of the swing. And then maintain that feeling as you start your down swing.
Mather golf course is a pretty good course east of Sacramento.
It would look a bit better if it included n=2, 3, and 4
That's a good point and something I can easily fix. Thanks for the feedback.
Let me know if the link doesn't work this is my first time posting a gif on reddit. I made this simple animation in R after seeing a similar animation in my graduate probability theory class. If anyone is interested in the code you can PM me.
I’m not sure if I understand the situation. Is the inner groove not playing at all or is it playing once and then the TT auto switches off? The records released by Capitol didn’t have the run out groove audio so if it’s not playing at all then it’s because you have a Capitol pressing. I don’t know how to solve the issue if it’s your TT causing the problem.
Playing once and then TT switches off. Arrrgh!
Okay I don’t know how to stop that. Have you tried asking r/vinyl? I’m sure someone in that sub has your TT and knows how to adjust it.
When Yoda says “read them have you. Page turners they are not” I think it gives the impression that Luke is able to read the texts either firsthand or by some other means. If that’s the case then I think Rey will be more than capable of reading them.
Is Luke/Mark Hamill left handed? He’s holding the light saber like a lefty would hold a baseball bat. I just noticed this Edit: I’m an idiot as was looking at it backwards. I think he’s right handed
Love Minus Zero/No Limit
My question is solely if my chances of winning one game are 63% what are my chances if I buy 2 squares instead of 1
Do you want to know the chances of winning exactly one game or winning at least one game? By the way this is an example of something called a binomial random variable if you are interested in more of the theory behind this problem.
Given that my chances of winning at least 1 square are 63% by buying 1 square, what are my odds if I instead buy two squares
So I'm pretty certain that website is wrong. Assuming that all squares are equally likely to win, your probability of winning at least one square by buying one square is about 47%. If you buy two squares then your chances of winning at least one square increase to about 72%
I put my feet together and take a half swing with either a PW or 9i. Hit about 50 shots focusing on hitting the ball in the middle of the club head. Improves balance and unnecessary movement in your swing which I believe are hallmarks of a consistent swing.
Edit: Jim Furyk would probably scoff at my last sentence haha
I think I remember seeing something in the fellowship special features that it was Peter Jackson’s wife screaming layered with some other sounds. I don’t have a source to back this up though.
The guitar grimoire. https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Grimoire-Compendium-Formulas-Scales/dp/0825821711
Ugh... Those books are terrible.
I'm thoroughly convinced that the author(s) know jack shit about western music. The "Chords and Progressions" book somehow manages to go 200+ pages without ever using the words "tonic" or "dominant", and that relationship is the fundamental driving force of tonal music.
I can only speak for the book on scales and I find it to be a very good quick reference once you get some theory under your belt.
What works best for me is to take one thing from the lesson and only work on that on the course. For example if your instructor said to change your grip then do that and only that. There are so many other variables out on the course that it’s best to focus on one thing at a time.
Normally I do but these were in a one dollar bin so my expectations weren’t too high. In those cases I just hand over some cash and call it good.
Can I have some of your cash? You can just "call it good."
Also, Disraeli Gears is a much better record than anything Cat Stevens ever did.
I can’t argue with that. But I like Cat none the less.
Revolution 9 is a masterpiece, especially in context. The White Album may be the most well-programmed album in history; it wouldn’t work nearly as well if the running order didn’t flow so miraculously.
Thank god for George Martin
There’s mention of hyperspace tracking in R1. Its just one little line but it serves to hint at the fact that the empire was at least working on the technology by the time of ANH. Alternative theory: one of the star destroyers calculated the cruiser’s trajectory as it made the jump. I think they’ve done that before but I can’t think of a specific time off the top of my head.
Edit: Here’s the link from the mention in R1 http://www.thisisinsider.com/last-jedi-hyperspace-tracking-rogue-one-2017-12
Highway 61 is a really great collection of songs, I mean an album with two serious contenders for the title "best song ever written" can't be too bad. Yet, on my list it only takes the third spot, behind Blood On The Tracks and Bringing It All Back Home, since both can keep up at song quality and work better as albums.
H61 does not really have a coherent theme, it is a collection of great (mostly) rock songs, but in the end I fail to see the one element that keeps it all together. BIABH is a wonderful departure from the folk scene. Blasted open by energetic opener and finished by a sentimental goodbye. Same with BoTT where talking about coherent themes is just trivial.
This is where H61 (and especially Blonde On Blonde) fail for me as albums. You can put together an album with two ideas in mind: either you just want to sell a collection of your songs or you want to combine your songs for a total that is bigger than the sum of its parts. Clearly the latter is the superior motive. BoTT and BIABH do this perfectly, H61 does not and as such I will always have a hard time ranking it above the aforementioned albums.
I love love love bringing it all back home exactly for the reason you described. One thing I want to add though. The concept of a “complete album” where all the songs work together to drive home a single theme (or perhaps handful of related themes) was relatively unheard of in the early 60s. Pet sounds is considered one of the first to achieve this followed closely by sgt. Pepper’s a year later. Those two albums were revolutionary of course partly because they inspired the modern take of an album being more than just a collection of singles. This is why I think BIABH is underrated because Bob really was the innovator with this album and I think it’s often overshadowed by the giants that came in the later years of the 1960’s. The album was very much a transition for him and for the rest of the popular music scene. It’s not quite rock and it’s not quite folk. It’s something in between and I think it’s beautiful.
Usually Ahri in both cases. She plays like ekko in the sense that you play around her ult and she thrives in extended team fights. She’s also really safe so that’s good. It also seems like her power spikes are about the same as Ekko’s as well. All in all I feel like I don’t have to learn a whole new playstyle with her when that “oh shit who do I play now” moment happens. Honestly I would probably main Ahri if Ekko wasn’t so dang cool.
It would have been fascinating and possibly amazing. Woodstock brought out career defining performances in so many artists.
I always imagined that John would have done something similar to Jimi playing the star spangled banner.
Most times. My miss hits come from trying to swing too hard/fast and they do 1. 10 yard more fade then needed. Almost slice. 2. Turn my hands over and 20 yard left hook and most often miss hit 3. Chunky and lose 30 yards of distance.
I know its because i come in steep and I'm trying to work on my rotation and starting with the hips. Its why my Driver is awful.
Those sound like symptoms of poor weight transfer. Like a previous comment said, try too keep more weight on the right heel and then focus on shifting that eight to your left foot on the downswing.
One of my favorite moments is when Andy is getting his tattoo of the nard dog and we get a shot Dwight in between Jim and Pam putting his arms around them. They all just look so happy.
Does the noise happen all the time when you're using the turntable, including when the stylus is lifted up, or only when the stylus is in the groove playing a record?
Only when the stylus is in the groove and also only during the higher register of the song. I listen to a lot of classic rock and the noise occurs during guitar solos, loud chords, ect.
Then that sounds like mistracking. Are you sure the cartridge is correctly aligned and the tonearm is set to the correct tracking force?
I think so, but my knowledge is pretty limited. I've balanced my tonearm and then set it to the tracking force specified on the cartridge. I also used one of those alignment compasses to align everything. I'm pretty new at this, so do you have any suggestions/resources so that I can know if everything is set up correctly. Thanks
Backpacked out to the lake where this occurred last summer, not super easy to find, but worth it!

So this has been such a crazy coincidence for me today. I’m planning a backpacking trip to that lake over the summer which led me to the story in the post and to watch the documentary “Valley Uprising”. How was the hike there?
