When Marv Albert dies, I'll give his eulogy and mess up a bunch.

"Kevin, wait I'm being told it's Marv... was a great broadcaster for ESPN... I'm being told it's TNT and he wasn't great, he was bad..."

To answer the question, I'd say slide Kevin Harlan up to the main slot and get Ian Eagle on the second slot.

If he joins the G League before their season starts, he will be in the G League draft. Whichever G League team picks him is where he goes.

If he enters after the G League draft, he can be picked up on the G League waiver wire.

Not positive on the rest, but my educated guess is that he will NOT be able to go to an NBA roster no matter what. He won't be on a two-way contract and he won't be eligible to be signed because he hasn't completed the one year post-high school rule.

How do you figure out how much to pay each player? For every NBA player that goes to college for 1 year there's like 50 others that play sports for 4 years while receiving an education, just watch the ncaa tournament this year. People have always had the option of playing overseas if they wanted to as well. I just don't understand why it's "fuck the NCAA!"

At least let them make money off their likeness. They aren't even allowed to do that.

Before this whole media bitchfest, I was actually feeling better about Ray Allen. I'd forgiven him for leaving too.

But with all the dumb shit he's been spewing since this book tour, he can fuck right off.

Didn't know when Pierce's jersey retirement was? Alright, buddy. The explanation for going to the Heat? Laughable.

Own up to why you left and maybe people will respect you more here. I'm glad he's showing his colors right now.

The thread was left open for discussion for 10 hours before being locked for rule breaking comments and brigading.

Those topics always start off okay when we have our actual subscribers discussing it, but it always gets heated when people don't understand how to discuss or argue without insulting others. The influx of outsider accounts also doesn't help.

rule breaking comments

Just remove them and ban the users. You let so many trolls and shitposters here. Just ban those that break the rules and it'll be easier to have pleasant discussions. If you need more mods, get more mods. Tons of us are mods on other subs and could give you a hand.

Gonna be honest, there's a big difference in modding a subreddit with under 10k subs than one with over 1 million.

There comes a point when it's not beneficial to have a bunch of mods dedicating the majority of their modding time to one singular thread. Especially since all rule breaking comments don't always get reported.

Instead we let the conversation and discussion ride out for as long as is reasonable and then discuss on an acceptable time to lock the thread.

Imagine Bron was a warrior like not the basketball type and instead of holding the ball he's holding a spear and as he comes back down he just viciously stabs it through you. Top 1 scariest moments for a meager average warrior like myself

Woj on Twitter

In a statement received by ESPN on Isaiah Thomas, Dr. Bryan Kelly of the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC says: "We will be doing a minimally invasive procedure to "clean up" the joint of all inflammatory debris related to his injury from last season."

It's not a temporary rule. We have no plans to not continue this for seasons to come.

Sorry, your comments came off as soundly negative throughout the thread.

But not one is negative towards 'fanart friday'.

"We’re gonna be trialing a new rule for the next few weeks"

Yup, trialing for the next few weeks. If it goes well, we keep it. If it doesn't, we make some changes and roll out a different rule for it if needed.

We foresee it going well though. No reason to change it from what it is now besides maybe minor tweeks.

shit rule just because fan starts with the same letter as friday

FeversMirrors [M] -13 points

I'll talk to the other mods about making Fan Art Friday be on Tuesdays.

This is Celtics news?

msokol416 15 points

Yes. Unless you stop caring about every player the second they leave the team

FeversMirrors -1 points

Not most of them, just the ones that were terrible the whole time they were here.

I would be surprised if Rozier get a 4/50 deal. It's cold market now and I think most teams have good enough starting PGs.

FeversMirrors 1 point

Smart might get a 4/$50M deal. Rozier will get more than that, believe me.

Narakrishna 1 point

I see Smart landing a 4/40 ish deal, and consider how IT and AB fares I doubt many teams would be interested in former Celtics players. Rozier would get more but 2019 cap and salary space in general is still hard to predict.

FeversMirrors 3 points

Teams aren't dumb enough to ignore good players. Just because a few guys have done worse outside of the Celtics doesn't mean they're bad, they're just not utilized correctly.

Kelly Olynyk got a big contract and has been really good because he has a coach who isn't a moron. Same with Crowder now that he's on the Jazz.

Terry will get significant offers in his restricted free agency. Wait and see.

No. David Griffin was the Cavs GM. Out of anyone in the public sphere, he has the most firsthand information about Kyrie’s knee.

FeversMirrors -10 points

He knew the most information about Kyrie's knee last year. A lot can change after a full season of games, wear and tear, etc. This is pure speculation on his end because I guarantee you he doesn't have any access to Celtics medical info.

If Woj or Shams don't have the info we want, David Griffin sure as heck doesn't.

CelticsHoohaa 8 points

He isn't guaranteeing anything, hes just giving his input

FeversMirrors -13 points

Agreed, he's speculating just as we are.
