I got a Scott Pillgrim vibe from this chapter.
I think it can still work depending on how and when they splice the side stories in.
This really needs to be an anime.
If Slime became an anime, I don't see howthis won't get one if Slime does well. I'll admit it isn't the best analogy, but this is basically Overlord to Slime's Log Horizon (I love all four of these).
Mostly because if those were knees they would have to be far larger to be proportional however with the new episode I'm way more convinced
I don't say this out of malice towards the show's creators. But, this is Steven Universe we're talking about. A consistent scale is this show's dump stat.
FFS there was so much foreshadowing, why didn't I believe it?
They cheated (I mean this light heartedly) by proving they couldn't be the same. It only worked when you assumed certain characters had bad information or that details were retconned.
Also, this makes Steven a magical space prince...ss? with super powers beyond almost any other character. That doesn't sit well with some.
You know who I really give props to? The "Rose ate PD" theorists because in this episode we saw just that.
Granted, not how they meant, but still to be right about that of all things.
it actually seemed the most likely, just because it would explain A LOT about rose and yet be the biggest twist yet (from in show perspective, it's not that big of a twist because of how easy it was to predict)
I've been on both sides of the debate. For, against, for again once the show revealed PD's gem shape.
The problem with the whole PD = RQ thing is that the show spent .5 to 1 seasons trying to make us not believe it just to rebuild the evidence to make it a shock.
However, it looks like even the switeroo will be well done with the consequences of what allowed it to work being dealt with in the Summer Promo.
Huh?
I'm guessing the daughter got distracted using the ipad while on the toiler while the shower was running (warming up?).
Maybe with the larger opening more water can get through so you reach the hot water faster?
It depends—the Silent Hill in Silent Hill 2 is a personal Silent Hill much more than it is an occult one. If the gang doesn't have anything haunting them in their past—they didn't betray or let down a loved one, they didn't lose their child, they didn't murder somebody, et c.—then Silent Hill will just look like a normal town to them.
That kind of reverses things thing.
If this were a physical monster town Silent Hill my rating would be:
If personal hell Silent Hill...
I don't know if you're serious or not, but whenever my inner Ronaldo kicks in and I find myself wondering what the Diamonds need all these different worlds and resources for, I do think "War against the Sneople!"
Especially when you consider the Cluster.
The weapons and armies if taken alone could just mean they sometimes have to fight worlds advanced enough to put up a fight. They lose some in taking the world, but gain enough for a net positive.
The Cluster? That's a planet destroyer. Unless Home World can use the pieces of the worlds attacked by the Cluster for resources it can only be seen as a table flip level weapon.
Just who do they need to table flip against?
I'm even more baffled that people are warning others of the "series ruining" leaks on THIS sub.
Did people forget why we're all here?? What's funny is no one was even waiting for that. That just fell on our lap like an early Christmas present.
... series ruining what?
If the leaks are really series ruining wouldn't that mean the episodes they are from are series ruining? Then seeing the leaks should be welcomed to prevent you from wasting time watching the episodes.
Well.. he is the cofounder of a groundbreaking company. Besides he died violently.. The whole company must have been talking about his death for weeks. Not to mention the press..
Imagine a world where Steve Jobs lived until he was balding, white haired, etc. For the sake of the next rationalizations, let's say it is even now. How many employees would recognize Steve Wozniak if he got rehired by Apple and started going by another name?
Now keep that in mind. Now let's say Tim Cook after developing a complex from all the people asking "What would Jobs have done if he lived?" created Robo-iWoz that looked like he did way back when? Or based on this if he wanted a more cleaned up Robo-iWoz.
So here we have two degrees of disrecognition:
That's even assuming Arnold in-universe is even as much of a public face as Wozniak. While we know Ford and Arnold are more of a Jobs/Wozniak dynamic, in terms of public awareness... what if Arnold is more of a Ronald Wayne because Arnold didn't share his insights publicly as much as Woz, and thus Ford could keep them in house?
Then you have a third possible degree of disrecognition. If public recognition and memory of Arnold is rare enough, then all Ford needs/needed to do was not hire fan boys for the admin areas of Westworld.
It's for getting into the car if the battery is dead. There's a cover on the driver's door handle that pops off, it's the section of the handle that doesn't move when you pull on it.
In the Volt, at least 2012 version, you can also use it to start the car if the car can’t detect the key fob for some reason. Be that unexpectedly dead battery or mysterious possible frequency blockage.
The “Ignition” is in the center dashboard phone compartment. Open it, remove the rubber mat, and there is a little hole you plug the key into.
Damn, I've had mine six years now and had no idea. Have you tried it, and its definitely an ignition switch? (Most cars with automatic transmissions have something like that for bypassing the brake interlock, and that's roughly speaking where you'd normally find them...)
I've had to use it because for some god only knows reason there is a convenience store in town that every time I stop there my Volt and Fob stop communicating.
It's not an ignition switch, which is why I used the quotation marks. It's like a square peg slightly bigger than the key. So the fob itself just jangles around in the slot. It almost certainly works the same way as the fob slot in my old Prius (an illustration showing it that I found) worked. Just way more inconvenient to use.
Vehicle: 2012 Volt
Has anyone else run into a situation where your key fob stops working at a certain physical location?
There is a local gas station where while I’m on their property the Volt is unable to detect my keys.
It isn’t batteries. I’ve swapped them out. Both pairs do this. The key works fine before stopping there. Once I’m a half block away the “Can’t detect remote” message vanishes. Though I don’t know much much of this distance is due to redetect attempt cooldown.
The only odd thing about the store that I can see is the bank of slot machines right up against the window that’s right up against the parking spots. Which might explain why when I asked the store about it the employee who also has a fob said they never had an issue. Employee parking is around the building with a few brick walls in the way.
Azerite is basically just her dried blood. The Well of Eternity was flowing, it was not allowed to dry. I just assume that's the difference, but I don't know.
That's how I'm seeing it pending more lore.
So if we flooded Slithus we might turn the entire zone into the Sea of Eternity, or if ground up enough Azerite we could use it to create Sunwell, second well of eternity, etc. like pools of power.
Because she's written Warcraft books since 2001 and why would she betray her own writing.
What do I know tho, maybe she wants to go with Garrosh 2.0.
Didn't she write that the Lich King killed his inner Arthas and Ner'zuhl for the next expansion to bring them back?
Didn't she have Kalecos talk sense into Jaina for her to near immediately return to dreadlord mode in game?
I enjoy Blizzard lore, but it is as fluid as a comic book, and her stuff sadly is even more fluid than the games.
So what is canon now? Is inner Arthas ans Ner'zuhl dead or alive?
We don't know. Blizzard gradually has gone from "Ner'zuhl is DEAD, D-E-D DEAD" to "Haha, good question". I haven't read Chronicles yet, but Legion does have some things that imply Ner'zuhl may still be alive since inner Arthas, after being killed a fourth time, warns the DK player in High Mountain that they think they have free will, but really are in instrument of "Him".
If Inner Arthas can be killed four times (Christie's book, the frozen heart quest, end boss of the raid, in the DK artifact quest line) and still pull a Yoda then Ner'zuhl should still be alive... but Blizzard hasn't hard confirmed it. Even if he's still alive we likely won't see it heard confirmed until Wrath 2.0.
Then additionally complicating things, I'm seeing some WoW Lore YouTubers state "Uhm, is anyone else noticing Blizzard going 'Hahaha, we should have made Yogg'saron and LK's linkages less vague', and what does that mean?"
Honestly I'm pretty fucking sure that Garona is a plant from SI:7 lol. If I'm wrong, strike me down now Garona, but I think that much should be obvious if you look at the way she words her statements with out just immediately trusting her
Maybe. That'd make sense, but she's also the most retconned character. So who knows, this might just be the latest one.
Nope, In his leadership short story he hates everything she stands for. She only has his public support because the blood elves don't have the manpower to hold the ghostlands without Forsaken support.
Assuming the current lore writers read those.
Was it ever explained how or why Uta and co. became Clowns?
Roma was the creator of the Clowns. I forget which chapter that was explained, and can't find which. I suspect it was 102, but that's too old to be hosted by either Jamini or MS.
"This world's a circus. Everything's meaningless enjoyment."
- Roma, Chapter 135
Uta explains his view of what the Clowns are, and likely why he joined in this chapter. I'd argue it is a form of nihilism, specifically the sunglasses variant. Ghouls lead lives that are depressing and full of despair. Humans are the cause of this and will never let things change. So let's wreck everything and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh....
Most of the Clowns seem to be of the Uta style. Donatello... unless I missed something seems to be an exception, or he's of the grayscale type.
Boss Rabbit, assuming no blood list. Or is the magic transform seen as very powerful?
A normal mosquito is shown in canon to be too much for him.
The mosquito wasn't shown to pierce his skin, was it?
Then I'd argue vanilla mosquito = draw.
Well, the book reminded me of a certain show about bears. It could just mean that if 02 can't become a human then he'll have to become a monster.
Arthas' and kael had the same character trait "I will do anything to save my people!"
The difference being that Kael fucking off to netherstorm to go suck legion dick had nothing to do with saving his people whereas Arthas drawing frostmourne did. (Killing Mal'Ganis would end the plague).
This is why people have a problem with it because it contradicts his established character not because people didnt like his turn to evil but because his turn to evil wasnt convincing.
Barring information from Chronicles 3, which I haven’t read, changing things... From a passive POV Kael’thas didn’t make a bad plan if he only cared about his people by that point. He was looking out for his people.
Look at the Netherstorm again. He’s gathering mana to bring back to Azeroth. He’s pumping it all into Tempest Keep, a ship like the Exodar. Like how Kazzak was trapped on Azeroth pre-TBC, presumably until the Belves raided the Tempest Keep fleet they were also stuck in Outland.
Even two of the five mans imply efforts to help his people.
————
In broad strokes it works. Kael joined Illidan, Vashj, and Akama in hopes they’d help back. We see that over the years that they didn’t. Kil’jaeden shows up and offers some advice to a jaded Kael’thas who at this point been betrayed several times over, and is willing to take a few more steps down the stairway of good intentions.
Slightly redundant but this is my take:
I count each season as roughly 2 years due to all the travel namely walking. I don’t suspect the portals were easy to find either.
That being said, the first 4 seasons equate to 8-10 years. From season 4 to 5 anywhere from 38-40 years have passed. The narration simply says 50 years have passed. I interpret that as 50 years since the start of his journey. An argument can be made for 50 years since you last saw him.
I think 8-10 years is too long for the first four seasons. That would be long enough for even Jack and Aku to begin to suspect Jack isn’t aging properly. Which is important as Aku’s Plan B... C... Q.... was to simply wait for Jack to die of old age now that Jack couldn’t go back in time anymore.
The first four seasons likely span a few years, but I imagine there is some off screen boats, horse riding, future tech vehicle riding, etc. that reduced some of the travel time.
It took me 1 week to binge this entire series' web novel, and I must say it's really, really good.
But, holy cow, it's going to take more than forever to reach the parts I loved the most. I wish they had another manga just to cover the "side" stories.
If you want something to fill the time, somewhat, consider the Threadbare series. It is somewhat similar.
There's always the completed Ratfist by Earthworm Jim's creator.
What seemed to be the case pre-WoW Legion: Illidan hadn't fully settled into a destroy the Legion at all costs mentality. It was more of a defend Azeroth and his life, order unknown. Killing The Lich King would be saving Azeroth from a threat and saving his life from Kil'Jaeden.
When Illidan failed he switched to "I must destroy the legion" to save Azeroth and his own life.
Post-Legion: I'm just going to assume it was a mix of the following:
