My cat purring. Sometimes I just love to come home and curl up on my bed, and somehow my cat always knows when I need a cuddle because he doesn't always do it, but when I feel shitty he'll just follow me in, be the little spoon and let me rub his belly until he purrs. My best little buddy!

I can imagine :) Both SD and I are huggers, and I'm very grateful for it. She can tell when I've had a rough day at work and will come up and ask if I need a hug. It always makes my day!

Men are completely different than women in the emotional aspects at least... men try to solve things all the time, a man won’t sit you down and ask you to talk about your day... if you have a problem he would try to solve it, he won’t care for anything else really... so, if you really need comfort just tell him... I need a hug, or watch a movie with me and let’s cuddle or something that will require an action from his part and something that will be comforting you... if you need someone to chit chat, then you should get a girl friend... women are better at listening and give advice in general. But yeah, you need to communicate your husband directly what your needs are, because men are terrible with indirect signals.

Human embrace, I’ve got friends and I’m happy with them. However, I need a hug, I haven’t had a hug in 5 months, before that I think it was 2-3 years and that was my mom. I feel so alone despite having people around, and every time I get close to someone I always seem to get friended, we’ll still hang out but it’s clear that’s the line. Everytime I see a dog on campus I run over and ask if I can pet it, it probably looks stupid but at least it’s something wanting me to pet/hold it.

And here’s the other part. “Drama” is reallyvague. Seems like the mods made it vague on purpose. 🤔
The first image indicates that it wasn’t racist and was just earrape. The user was unbanned but in the message staff made it clear it was not tolerated and doing it again would result in a ban?
And yes, rules against drama generally are vague and are down to the moderators decision. Generally if things are getting out of hand, rude or toxic mods are gonna step in and end it.
This doesn’t really strike me as the right place to be discussing this?

Your opinion is unpopular here for some reason, but for what it's worth, I'm on your side. Maybe there are some kids that respond well to comfort during a tantrum. My kid isn't one of them. He gets caught in a loop where he knows he has some perceived need he can't meet, so he will tantrum and try everything to try to figure out what will make him feel better. He has been known to repeat "I need a hug" over and over, even when he is in the middle of a hug. What he actually needs is to be alone until he calms down, at which point he can have all the hugs he wants.
Kids are irrational, as you've said, and 100 times more so when they're tantruming. They are not capable of processing information or emotions in that moment. If and when they are able to have a rational discussion, then by all means that should be the first option, but it's naive to think that will usually be the case. If they've demonstrated they're not capable of that, like by ignoring everything you say and just repeating what they want over and over, obviously rational conversation is not the solution in that moment.
