Chapman grad here:
This doesn't surprise me at all. Chapman is an aggressively growing/expanding University building tons of new facilities so the money is always welcome.
Much of the student body is fairly liberal (top film school, plus liberal arts, etc) but we're talking about Orange County here - arguably the most red county in the state. As a business grad, I can tell you that the business school was largely unhappy with a Democrat being President
In my perfect world, Chaptown will use the money to continue expanding and making my degree more valuable without corrupting the autonomy of the school.
We'll see
arguably the most red county in the state.
Not. Even. Close.
Orange County even voted for Clinton in 2016.
You've got to go to Kern County or one of the Sierra Nevada counties to find super red California.

No data backing the ratings, so it's just some guy's opinion?
Now I'm waiting for Muskthrower videos to show up on /r/WCGR. ;)
Yes.
This question gets asked a lot in both this sub and /r/McLounge. You should search through the archives for similar questions and answers on interviews, orientation, job positions, etc. Good luck.
Why? And why visit more than one?
Just as perspective (I'm a CA native who has see this before) I had some friends from Ireland come over and stay for a while about twenty years ago. They were absolutely dumbfounded at the selection of fruits and vegetables at the grocery store the first time they went. This was the only "thing" that just absolutely shocked them during their first week in America/California. They couldn't believe the amount of choices they had, we had to stop them from buying too much!
If they were
dumbfounded at the selection of fruits and vegetables
You should have taken them to a large Asian grocery store or especially a large farmers market. A half dozen different varieties of avocados, an amazing number of citrus and citrus hybrids, more stone fruit hybrids than you can count on two hands, etc.
FYI: Cali is a city in Colombia, South America.
They're all over. EG Watts Towers.
Cal State Long Beach has a whole bunch around campus.
Practically every art museum in SoCal has a sculpture garden.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Forgetting the golden gate bridge?
Tropical Habanero—a sweetness intertwined with a bold touch of fiery heat
I tried this yesterday and thought it was way too sweet.
