I have watched Totalbiscuit since I was 10, and while obviously my friends and family had much more to do with my devolpment, I wouldn't be he person I am today without watching his videos. I know that's really weird because he's an entertainer and a critic but it's true. I have some dumb fan mail over the years and one message about weather Totalbiscuit was ableist(I'm autistic) which I got a message from Genna about how their son is autistic, which made me happy that someone I admire loves and cares about people on the spectrum, instead of assuming their dumb or murderers. I don't mean to act like I have a right to grieve, I just wanted to say how I've always felt and I am sorry if this is selfish or wrong to say. Thank you Totalbiscuit and Genna
If you read this, I just wanted to thank you for the years of entertainment and information you have provided me and my friends. I can't remember exactly how I found your channel on youtube, but I do remember it was when you were making your "WTF is...?" series. It was very helpful to me and my friends since, at the time, reviews were pretty much limited to gaming news sites which had some rather suspicious scores, or metacritic total scores. We were lost on what games we would enjoy but you shed light on them and we managed to keep ourselves happy with games that deserved the attention.
My personal hobbies have taken shape based on what you showed for entertainment. Just one example, my friends got me to try WH40K, but I wasn't really collecting or interested much in it until you went on RollPlay and showed your followers what an interesting story there is around the simple hobby. You also taught me about having passion for hobbies and not hiding it. I had issues with being a bit embarrassed by my hobbies simply because I liked them, but seeing you care so much for video games and the video game industry showed me that hiding my passion for my hobbies was really just me hiding from letting myself be me. I needed to stick to what I enjoyed in my life and talk with people why I enjoy them and show support for them when they are being used for nothing more than money.
I hadn't realized what artistic integrity really meant to me until I saw you fight for artistic integrity in simple youtube videos, and clearly other people thought the same thing because you managed to get almost as many imitators as AVGN.
So yeah, thank you for making the past decade so much more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. See you on the other side.
I'm wondering if anyone here listens to other gaming podcasts I can get some gaming news and entertainment that are comparable to the co optional podcast for weeks that they don't air or just to add another to what I listen to?
Hi All,
Just curious if anyone knows where they would still be selling TB's old esports team gear on the internet. Any information regarding this would be super appreciated. Wishing TB and his family all the best during this tough time <3 .
I remember a few years ago they talked about a game that offer a bunker or cabin in the woods, something like that for I want to say it was five million dollars.
Can't find it, curious if any of y'all know what game and which episode it was in the podcast.
Thanks for any help.
Anyone have a good list or series that TB and Jesse cox played together? I just finished the Terraria one and love how they play off of each other so looking for more!
TB mentioned some space strategy game where he basically genocided a planet by convincing all the other groups that dumping toxic waste on them was somehow fine. I pretty much only remember that, the memory came back to me pretty much out of nowhere and I really want to check it out due to how interesting he made it sound, but for the life of me I can't track down the video. Thanks for any help!
Normally it's up by Thursday when will be see the podcast up for this week?
I've been sincerely missing TB's "WTF Is.." videos. I was wondering if people here could point me to other game reviewing youtube channels with a similar attitude and approach to reviewing.
With the recent circumstances going on I was suddenly reminded of something TB said. He said that he'd consider his show complete if he had Vin Diesel on the show. Now I'm just throwing this out there as I have no way of actually going about this, but... with the support of all of TB's fans is there any weird way we can collectively somehow get Vin to be on the podcast? I know I'll get my ass chewed out by this but I was thinking this would be a cool thing to do for him if somehow it can be done. Thoughts on how to go about it? Thoughts on if we should go about this?
EDIT: So we got a couple of really interesting suggestions. Thanks to Andtucholski we can use #VinDieselCoOptional. Vin's twitter is @vindiesel. Let's see if we can start a trend and get the word out to him.
Boldverine also suggested perhaps getting in touch with Felicia Day? If anyone knows how to do that and see if she can help that would be great too.
I suppose this might be a bit odd, but I just really want to send some sort of message just saying how much I appreciate him and the content he has made, and how his content has changed my taste in games and gaming in general massively. Thing is, he's kinda understandably shut off contact to a lot of the public as far as I know, for the clear reason that 1. People are dicks and 2. Health speculation is shiiit. Does anyone know I way I can get a message to him? Although honestly he probably doesn't care about randos at this point.
It is getting annoying lately, TB's voice is a bit weaker/hoarse these past months and the others seem to just explode as soon as a light bulb goes on in their heads to get their thing out.
Hi guys. TB once posted a video on a game that seemed to adapt to his actions. I remember it was a sorta side scroller beat em up type, set in the future. I just cant remember what it's called! I was sure he had it in his top 10s but I went through his game of the year videos but it wasn't there... Thanks :)
Hoping one of you remembers based on my vague description...
