This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:
Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
I'm thinking of getting a GTX 1070. Which one should I get?
I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case < $50
Remember that Discord is great places to ask quick questions as well: http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/wiki/livechat

like, this community is just dedicated to helping people, I've heard such stereotypical things like how "pc gamers are elitist" or whatever but honestly, everyone here has been so helpful and open-minded in literally every way. Nobody here has ever been like, "Wow, your build is stupid, mine is better" like some people think pc gamers do, and overall this community is just great. 10/10
$85 new for essentially a Ryzen 5 2600. AMD is killing it right now. This seems to me like an insane budget deal. Gamers Nexus has a great video reviewing the CPU
This list isn't just for people who just got some Christmas money and want to build a PC but are on a budget but still want it to be good, but also for anyone who is on a budget and wants to build a PC but still wants it to be good.
With the release of the R5 1600AF, I thought it would be fun to put together a low budget PC build that doesn't really cut corners and will be a very strong performer at 1080p. This build comes out to just shy of $600.

It's about to go down.

I just want to give a huge thank you to everyone in this community for helping me out and being very non-toxic and friendly to me even with my dumb questions. It feels so good to build a computer and for it to actually work so once again, thanks a ton to you guys.
