As a leader in the production music industry we are experiencing continuous double digit growth and are looking to expand our team. We are seeking an experienced Node JS Developer that will be instrumental in creating, managing and optimizing our current/future products in the music sphere. The developer will play a major role in the development of key applications and will report to the Director of Technology of the Music Business Unit.

This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. The successful candidate will be customer oriented and results driven.

Responsibilities

• Play a major role in the development of key applications and services in the Premiumbeat.com / Shutterstock ecosystem.
• Take the lead on the development of important products / applications in the medium-term.
• Maintain, optimize and plan improvements for our existing systems.
• Emphasize user experience while maintaining good technical integrity.
• Contribute to and help shape the strategic technology vision for the Music Business Unit.
• Collaborate with our diverse and talented team and maintain a high level of excellence across the board.

Requirements

• Multi-year production experience building and maintaining Web applications and\or backend systems at scale
• Expert level Node JS with good knowledge of the key libraries
• Experience Express framework and/or other web frameworks
• Proficient in both relational and nonrelational databases
• Experience with building concurrent and/or distributed systems
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and other cloud service providers
• Experience with modern JavaScript frontend development
• Basic understanding of DevOps and Unix systems
• Comfortable with a Git and Continuous Integration workflow
• Ability to both work independently and be a team player
• Communication and organization skills

• ASSET: Experience with a Crossbar.io / LAMP / Autobahn stack
• ASSET: Experience with asynchronous programming (async io, Twisted, etc...)

The Intermediate/Senior Web Designer will help grow the various Music Business brands by creating graphic assets and design elements to support user experience and marketing efforts. We are seeking someone with a good understanding of cross-device web design, SEO, trends, innovations, limitations, and challenges.

This position requires a highly self-motivated and outgoing individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. The successful candidate will be energetic, engaged, and results driven.

Responsibilities

• Creating, updating, and maintaining marketing content for websites, emails, landing pages, and other web properties, as well as other innovative content pieces (landing pages, banners campaign art direction, UI kit management, social media promotions, and so forth) including across all the music brands of Shutterstock.
• Ensure all elements of the UX (interface design, navigation, information hierarchy, accessibility) meet business objectives and user needs.
• Work closely with the Creative Director, other designers, and the Product Manager to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of interactive design experience.
• Proficient with the current creative tools from Adobe and Sketch 3.
• Familiarity with Balsamiq or other wireframe software like Axure.
• Knowledge of SEO, A/B Testing, HTML/CSS and motion design are strong assets.
• Functional expertise throughout the design/development process, from project acceptance to final delivery and QA.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong design and technology principles for web, vibrant creativity, and significant consumer orientation.
• Current with emerging web and mobile design technology trends.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and varied project types concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail, open-minded and patient towards the goal of building a high-end product.
• Must be able to adapt rapidly to new technology and work in a fast paced environment.
• Mobile site or apps design experience on a major account.
• Candidate must be proficient in English.
