Alumnus and faculty Patrick Connors has been named a recipient of a Franz and Virginia Bader Fund Grant. He will use the grant to complete a series of oil paintings featuring Fairmount Park.
The Taxonomy Show, on view December 13 - 31 at WP Gallery, consists of visual taxonomies by 15 PAFA student artists who were brought together through Advanced Drawing: Concept, Image, Practice taught this fall by Robert Cozzolino and Astrid Bowlby.

Alumnus and faculty member Joshua Koffman's sculpture Synagoga and Ecclesia in Our Time was blessed by Pope Francis at Saint Joseph's University. Koffman is a Traction Company artist, and the aster copy of this sculpture can be seen in the Traction Company exhibition, on view through October 11.

Al Gury has been named the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society's foster parent of the year. The shelter's maternity room was also named after Al, who is a longtime volunteer at PAWS.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art has acquired a recent work by faculty member Eileen Neff. The “Leaf Wall” installation was featured in Neff's solo exhibition, Traveling into View, at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery.

Clint Jukkala has been named as the new Dean of the School of Fine Arts. Jukkala, who has been the Chair of Graduate Programs at PAFA since fall 2013, will start in his new position effective July 15.
