Become A Volunteer

Volunteers must be NRA certified instructors, training counselors, or certified range officers with a working knowledge of firing line safety rules.

Responsibilities include staffing the Eddie Eagle exhibit with the purpose of educating attendees about the basics of the program, distributing and restocking Eddie Eagle materials and assisting with the Eddie Eagle Photo buttons. Opportunities are also available to wear the Eddie Eagle mascot costume.

This is the behind the scenes set up of the convention center and encompasses a myriad of various assignments in preparation for the show opening. Once open, opportunities include restocking show programs and bags, distribution of signs throughout the venue, and other various assignments as necessary. Should be able to lift 30+ pounds and able to work on your feet a good portion of the shift.

Firearms examiners inspect all firearms on display in the exhibit hall before the show opens to ensure they have been rendered incapable of firing. Requires a vast working knowledge of firearms. This assignment runs Thursday afternoon through the evening and Friday morning. Additional opportunities available during show hours.

This is the busiest venue and the first stop for attendees entering the exhibit hall. Requires the ability to work on your feet in a fast paced environment assisting with membership sales and registration. Sales experience is a plus. Training is provided prior to each shift and volunteers will work directly with NRA staff. A great opportunity to interact with fellow NRA members.

A fun and rewarding experience working in a fast paced environment. Opportunities start Wednesday with set up which includes moving and unloading heavy boxes and pricing merchandise. This continues in to Thursday as the store set up is finished to prepare for opening at 2:00pm. Positions needed during show hours include: experienced cash register operators, baggers for merchandise, greeters, dressing room attendant, floor clerks and tear down on Sunday.

This is a one day only event exclusive for Youth. It features several attractions, some of which include a magnetic fishing pond, wildlife ID, Archery, and Air soft events. Opportunities are available to assist with the various attractions and registration.
